As someone who has been in deep depression a number of times and well versed in the use of psychedelics I'll say no; mushrooms will not end or alleviate depression.

But used properly after you've come out of the depression, yes, mushroom can assist with bringing you to a point where you are better able to solve the underlying issues for becoming depressed.

These underlying issues need to be adressed and brought to the surface in order to come to terms with them. Therapy is always the first choice you have to make, but mushrooms will, without remorse, make them [the issues] crystal clear for you.

This is the danger of psychedelics if you use them without the proper mindset, knowledge and assistence. You don't want to have a bad trip whilst in a depression as it can only exacerbate your condition.

So first: seek professional help, but rely on working through your problems instead of relying on drugs/SSRI's. Certainly, SSRI's can bring you out of the hole, but without cleaning out your cupboards there'll be no lasting solution.

Second: after you've come out of the hole and feel secure again, then you could entertain the use of mushrooms. But the value of mushrooms is greatly increased by intent and surrender. Remember this and decide when the time has come to stop resisting, because right now you're only fighting yourself.

I know that everything is a chore and the simplest thing feels insurmountable but I want to make this very clear to you, IT WILL GET BETTER.

You are not your own worst enemy, and the beauty of mushrooms is that they can show you that you, in fact, are your own best friend.
