Hmm, how about Cueto and Votto for him? No?

I can throw in a draft pick!

The Rays have been doing it for a while. Joe Maddon loves these fun themed trips

So Verlander hit 102mph and followed it with an 83mph curve, in the 8th inning with 110+ pitches. by kah88in baseball

[–]bshine 1 point2 points ago

Maybe they do it on purpose...I always figured they don't want to whip out 100 right out of the gates they are pacing themselves, but once they have a ton of pitches and are down to their last inning anyway, they let it loose.

Major League Baseball 2K Series Ending. Let us pray for the return of MLB the show by DASBOOTnDASPOOin baseball

I bought a ps3 pretty specifically for the show, and its a great game that's tons of fun. The online play is generally pretty bad though and there's a few glitches that can get annoying.

Which left-handed pitchers can currently throw a 100mph+ fastball? by phambamin baseball

Yeah, they really are fun to watch. I'm fortunate enough to live in the area so I can go see them play

Who do you think has the best fans in baseball? by FreckenZeDeutschin baseball

[–]bshine 1 point2 points ago

Kind of how every team is though, I don't think its unique to a city. People who love baseball will continue watching their team through thick and thin but a lot of people just watch baseball if the team is good.

Which left-handed pitchers can currently throw a 100mph+ fastball? by phambamin baseball

I think he's starting to click. He's shown signs of brilliance in his last two starts. Once he gets his release point down, he's going to be lights out like he was last year and in the minors. Remember, the kid is still 22 years old. I'm looking forward to watching him for the next 8 years

Do you have a problem with a pitcher writing something in the dirt on the mound if its visible on TV? by kmerfiin baseball

Because nobody spells Jared like that

Moore can definitely hit 100. He touches 98 and the "high heat" is usually 97 in games. I believe he threw 100 a few times in the minors though. He has a really smooth and effortless delivery.

It was just on baseball tonight..and I forgot the exact number. I want to say ~435. The longest was Pena's at 458

Haha, it was gladiators though. Luke Scott and Carlos Pena are huge gladiator fans and when they saw that they could buy the masks online they couldn't pass it up. That's Rodney and Peralta wearing them though

Tell me why you like baseball and you aren't allowed to mention your dad. by PeteRockandCLSmoothin baseball

One of my friends is a big Rays fan, and before 2009 I hated baseball. Starting the 2010 season, I figured I'd watch a few games and see how the Rays are doing. Once I actually gave it a chance, I loved it. Its probably my favorite sport, and definitely the one I know the most about.

I didn't report anyone. Did I get reported? I didn't think any of my comments appeared hostile and if they did I'm sorry for that.

I understand how it looks from someone who has never been to the trop, but the C ring is so far out there that I don't think its possible for it to hit the wire about that catwalk and not leave the park. It could drop straight down and almost leave the park.

Yeah, and by the way, Rasmus did not in any way have a clear beat on it. He was searching for it the whole time and you could tell from his footwork.

Tampa Bay's ballpark and rulings are a joke. by incredibad29in baseball

[–]bshine -3 points-2 points ago

Yeah, don't worry about him. I don't want to make a generalization, but it seems like all the Jays fans on here get really bitchy and irrational when they think a bad call is made. See the Brett Lawrie call from a few days ago. Note to normal, rational Jays fans, I'm not talking to you. I'm expressing what I've seen out of the Jays fans in the past week or so.

Tampa Bay's ballpark and rulings are a joke. by incredibad29in baseball

[–]bshine -3 points-2 points ago

Now now, nobody said our ballpark doesn't suck, we know it does. But that ball is a home run ball. You wouldn't be bitching if the same thing happened to your team. In fact, you would be bitching if that wasn't called for your team. Obviously you've never been to the trop and don't know how long the C-ring is. That ball would have been well out of the ballpark. No need to try to insult us just because you're butthurt about the calling.

If you can hit the C ring at the trop, not only is that a home run in any other stadium, its a bomb

Dodgers are the best team in baseball. (Right?). by joeintheboxin baseball

[–]bshine 0 points1 point ago

Shouldn't the Rays even be considered? We are a game back from the Rangers and have had a tougher schedule so far, not to mention we have had the injury bug pretty badly. Once we get Jennings, Longo, and even Niemann back I think we should at least be considered no?
