Well these laws exist more to benefit bars. Anyone who wants to drink on a dry day pretty much has to go to a bar. It's just like the no smoking indoors law. Restaurants didn't want to pay for the renovations indoor smoking necessitates and don't want to lose business because others are willing to allow it so they campaigned to have indoor smoking illegal. It's fucking stupid.

Just gonna put this out there. Physical dependency just creeps up on you. The psychological is kind of a warning sign. You'll crave it more and more and when you keep feeding it, it gets a hold on you. You think you have it under control but when you try to stop for a long period of time that's when you really know how bad it is.

If the following scares the shit out of you then you should maybe evaluate your relationship with alcohol. Disclaimer: I'm not judging you or saying you need to do this or anything it's just what I think so disregard at your own will what ever I don't care. Okay here it goes:

Try stopping for a few months but keep going to parties and hanging out with the same people. Pretend to drink or whatever it takes to keep up appearances but just don't drink, you might see stuff that you don't like. If your brain is trying to make you drink and freaks the fuck out when you don't listen to it then you may have a problem. Physical symptoms just means that you're really deep into the life of being CA.

This was really hard to write cause it made me look into my own habits but you seem to be asking for wisdom so I'm giving it to you. You can find a lot of good advise and bad advise on this thread really it's up to you to see it. Just know that alcohol can be a sneaky bastard and if you think you have the upper hand you probably don't.

Only way I could see that as viable is moving to the country and distilling moonshine for your booze needs. Maybe raise farm animals, chickens, cows, sheep and such? If you have a big enough budget you could maybe buy sustenance off of the locals and live comfortably for a long while. As long as you have a semi decent connection to the internet who needs anything else?

But either way, whatever you think is good go for it! Have fun with your time off and keep boozing it up.

So update if anyone cares. He didn't water it down just took a few shots no big deal to me. We just talked and I told him not to sneak any to just give me a heads up. We usually share booze and weed, I was just surprised he felt he had to hide it. So anyways going out to get some gin and tonic tonight (thanks to Acutuse for the idea). Anyways got some great info and laughs from this thread. Thanks for the good night fuckers!

Intriguing idea, I'll keep this for the record. But fortunately I tested it in the best way possible. Just drink all the remaining alcohol and if as drunk as expect then most likely not diluted!

Wow! I just realized that my roommate never had a liquor cabinet in his parents house so he never knew that it's so easy to tell the difference. We just always got my older brother to get us a bottle. Edit: Btw I realized that I was just paranoid and a noob at drinking straight whiskey.

Yeah I thought that too but as a naive CA I took my bottle of vodka out of the fridge one day and it was half frozen. Proceed to WTF and unfroze it and drank it. Most disappointing buzz ever. Then I realized he watered it down (yes didn't connect the fact that vodka does not freeze).

Anyways, at least I know for a fact he at least took some, he's CA in denial so just gonna tell him to either ask to split or get his own.

And yes, proceeding to get whiskey drunk! Fuck yeah.
