Thats what I am thinking.

Maybe there is some little detail that the OG John Prophet knows that should keep the earth empire from being rebuilt.

I am really really digging this book.

Prophet for sure. This book is a mindfuck at all times and i love it.

So the John Prophet that appeared at the end of the issue is the original OG John Prophet? I was waiting for the Liefeldian helmet to come back.

RUMOR: BleedingCool identifies DC's "iconic" gay superhero [spoilers] by Simon_Williamsin comicbooks

[–]beeeeeps 0 points1 point ago

I believe multiple people on twitter have said it is an Earth 1 character. Maybe Scott Snyder?

I'm too lazy to go back and check.

I don't think this is going to be it. I have heard that the character is an Earth 1 character and not an Earth 2 character.

Rich Johnston is an idiot.

Review Group Week #24: Batman Incorporated #1 by hoffer175in comicbooks

I only responded this way because you posed this question right off the bat:

If Batman is (only or mostly) a detective why does dress like a bat and has all this gadgets and tech and hangs around people that can fly and spends a lot more kicking people in the head, than conducting investigations, taking testimonies, collecting evidences?

In my opinion, there is a shit load of detective work even in the book of year one. Detective work consists of reconnaissance, research and networking. In year one, Bruce Wayne does plenty of work listening in on dealings with the Gotham PD or seeing who Jim Gordon really is and how Batman can ally himself with him.

I agree with you that it can be rather limiting to put Batman into a specific role in a comic book universe and that is why I specifically said I don't like how he puts a cosmic twist on the character. I am sorry my opinion differs from yours.

Those are pretty damn nitpicky things. Saying a head is too spherical of a comic book character? geeeezzz.

I do think he does look far too young though, and I can't stand how he always has the same face.

The thing that I find extremely interesting about this article is that its written with the diction and tone that you usually find in extremely conservative opinion articles.

Nice juxtaposition.

I have Batman #500 as well. Mine has the foil-y fold-out cover and everything. I actually think its pretty awesome. I don't mind if its worth next to nothing.

I am sorry but I thought this book wasn't that great. Chris Burnham's art wasn't amazing as expected and it had the typical Morrison quips and storyline.

I don't like how Grant Morrison has put a cosmic twist on the batman-universe. Batman is a detective. Lets keep it that way.

4/10.

Oh and the villain was really lame. I am sorry but none of Morrison's villains are off putting and interesting to say the least. Morrison should just stick to Superman.

rare gratification: listening to a new record while everyone else complains about transcoded leaks by vampiratein vinyl

[–]beeeeeps -1 points0 points ago

I can't wait until mine comes in the mail. I have been listening to the leak for a couple of weeks though, being that they are pretty much my favorite band and I can't wait to get my mitts on new stuff from them as it comes out.

This is such a great record though. Its not post-nothing, but it is great.

Why does everyone hate Rob Liefeld? by Cardenjsin comicbooks

[–]beeeeeps 2 points3 points ago

I personally don't really hate on him for his style. I think there is a time and a place for his artwork, and it can look rather cool.

I tend to dislike him a lot because he is a very opinionated asshole and voices his opinions in a very unprofessional way.

Underemployed and Loving It by antdudein jobs

[–]beeeeeps 18 points19 points ago

This article is probably the most off-the-wall, unrealistic job article that I have read in quite some time. The second to last paragraph gave about 5 solid reasons why it sucks to be a "freelancer" (even though in the way the writer described it, it wasn't really freelancing) and made no effort to alleviate those 5 cons to freelancing.

Yeah I am pretty sure its Milonogiannis on the interior art for this one. Judging from the previews, there is no doubt that its his art in there. I am pretty sure #27 is the all Brandon Graham art one as well. At least thats what hes been saying on his blog.

I have actually spoken with this guy on the phone that created this bike. I work for a metal supplier and he was looking to purchase some metal from us for one of his artistic creations.

He was a super nice guy but he seemed like a spoiled rich kid.
