Still, he'd be the first human to set foot on Mars. When they find his body in a hundred years, he would make every history book for the rest of history.

This is very touching and sad at the same time. I'm replying to you, although I don't have children of my own (that I know of) just in case I end up having one. Hi kid! I don't know you, but I love you. Be kind to one another.

I have lived long enough to bury several friends and more than a handful of my classmates. Some died of illness, a couple of accidents, and more than a few suicides and drug overdoses. I have also seen friends scatter to the four winds. My best friend from high school lived on the other side of the continent and I've only seen him in person twice in the last 18 years. Appreciate your friends. Enjoy life, and live.

As the guy twenty years out of high school, you have no idea. Prepare to have your mind blown. You are going to turn into your father... and you are going to like it.

That was such an emotional moment. A simple nod to the fanbase, but it got me right in the heart. I cried. I really did.

He will. My dad woke me up early in 1981 and we watched the first flight of the Space Shuttle together. I remember it well, 31 years later.

Yeah, that was a comment in the press conference after the first Dragon splashed down. If there had been a crew on that flight, they would have had a nice ride and returned to earth safely.

Best Fresnel lens I have found by drinkalcoholin Survival

I still have the one I took off of a dead big screen TV in the 80s. It's awesome and more than a little dangerous. My favorite demonstration I performed on a hot sunny 4th of July. We took a chunk of 2x4 and put it in a bucket of water to soak. Then we took it out and dropped it on the ground and focused the fresnel on it. It burst into flame immediately.

Epic.

This is very excellent work. Thank you! I will be purchasing one when it comes up on Etsy. Love your Princess Bride poster.

Good idea for me, since I am just sticking my toe into the water and don't want a large expense for the machine. Where did you purchase a small quantity of the stainless steel pins?

I actually drilled a tiny, tiny hole in a quarter to use in a pay phone when they were 25 cents. It was on my keychain for years and years. I wonder what happened to it? I didn't use it.

Glad to hear that you're taking it upon yourself to make sure he has a home. Give him a hug from reddit for us. He looks like he needs a whole lot of love to get him out of his slump.

Maybe if we keep repeating this, people will figure out that adult cats are awesome and worth adopting.
