I just bought a 08 WR250x and would be willing to do a straight trade of the wheels (I wanted a WRR anyway). I'll PM you.

I have a wireless logitech game pad with x-input (xbox controls) and it works fine. I couldn't find a comfortable way to play on the couch with a keyboard and mouse.

Bear seems like an awesome guy. I liked his shows even though they were kind of campy /pun.

Can someone help? XBMC / Openelec and a HD attached to router by billyvnillyin htpc

[–]ballhardergetmoney 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, probably something with NETBIOS over TCP/IP and openelec not getting along. Best to go with the IP anyway that way there's no confusion.

Then you should be able to add the SMB share to your library. Go to Videos-Files-Add Source. Choose samba share or SMB (whatever it is). and they router should be listed as having a share.

From your windows machine go open windows explorer and try to browse the router's share by typing \(router's IP) in the address bar. See if it asks for username/password.

what I typed is showing up weird. you need to do double backslash router IP like this "\192.168.1.1" no quotes

Is the router sharing through smb? What's the format of the volume? Do you need to authenticate before you're able to read/write to the share?

I was always taught this is the correct way to handle ntfs permissions. Let the implicit deny handle the rest.

Microsoft angers users by cutting Media Center out of Windows 8 by UlkeshNaranekin microsoft

[–]ballhardergetmoney 1 point2 points ago

You can choose at installation what to install. Client, Server, or both. I just installed it as a test the other day. I don't have a tuner card (yet) so I can't really tell you too much about it. All I know is that the XBMC wiki points you to mediaportal when you are looking for compatible TV tuner cards so it's like they are saying "go use this instead".

Check out Mediaportal. It's a port of XBMC that supports tv tuner cards.
