I want to see this in motion.

Dog breeder's website, give it a right click. by owd9000in CrappyDesign

[–]aycs 4 points5 points ago*

Right click but don't release - keep it held down while you move the cursor over the dialogue box and left click the okay button, then move the cursor back over the image and then release the right mouse button. The right-click menu pops up as normal.

Do you have a 'give-a-penny-take-a-penny' tray? When it is empty do you ever take pennies from the register to put in there? Are there ever so many pennies in there that it overflows?

What is the craziest thing you have seen (penny-tray related or not)?

Why Erlenmeyer flasks for starters? by TheRealFenderin Homebrewing

[–]aycs 1 point2 points ago

I was using one of these bottles as a flask and the only issue I had with it was that the bottom was not completely flat and so the stir bar was pretty loud in there and it got kind of annoying. With a flask the bar spins silently.

I knew this photo of yours looked familiar! I had seen it in a painting before. Painting by Cindy Tower. Crazy how in her second painting and in your photo you both stood in pretty much the exact same spot in that room. Did you notice any paint on the floor?

TIL that a fortune cookie company once got the lottery numbers right, resulting in 110 winners and an investigation by asynkin todayilearned

I don't think they make new ones very often. In 2010 I got the exact same fortune that Ewan McGregor got in the movie Stay (came out in 2005). The fortune was "Your troubles will cease and fortune will smile upon you."

Sounds like the next step should be to learn the Queen's Gambit. 1. d4 d5 2. c4 ... is just as "good" as 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 ..., just different.

The odds of his attorney finding that footage were Juan in a million.

Where are people moving to King County from... interesting stuff by tiff_seattlein Seattle

This doesn't make sense to me. The incoming is greater than the outgoing in every single county in the country I clicked on.

What is an accepted activity that you find repulsive? by SlyFoxOfSeattlein AskReddit

I thought the sticker on the hat was supposed to be like a reincarnation of the revenue stamp that used to be required on hats, which made them a status symbol.

I have a Philosophy class that is about the 3 Matrix movies. Is this odd for professors to do? by math_is_lifein philosophy

Be prepared to read a lot of Baudrillard. In the beginning of the first movie, when those people come to his door to get some sketchy software, Neo goes and retrieves it from its hiding place in a book. If you look closely you can see that the book is Simulacra and Simulation by Baudrillard. His ideas are pretty analogous to Zizek's, but not as clearly expressed.
