Cut out the sugar, salt, and fat. You'll feel much better. Also, take it 30 minutes to an hour after you've eaten.

Now just add everything except the fruit and cheese (and chips I guess) to broth and you have some awesome ramen!

21 year old diagnosed with PCOS a couple of weeks ago... Confused and have some questions.. by poisoned_sanityin PCOS

The vitamin thing really depends on you and your symptoms. Again, I fall at the other end of the spectrum so before I had bariatric surgery, I was on about 28 different pills a day - not including actual prescriptions. This is a really cool chart to keep handy when it comes to vitamins and supplements.

It seems to me it might be worthwhile for you to speak with a therapist and see if you can get on anti-depressants. I took Zoloft for about 18 months to get my anxiety under control and build a skill set to deal with it without meds.

Start checking your blood sugar when you're having mood swings because that may be the reason for the world's most terrifying afternoon LOL. I've been there. It's okay. Mood swings are part of our deal. DHA and folic acid really helped when I first was diagnosed to get some of that under control, but some of mine was blood sugar issues. Again, I fall on that heavy, pre-diabetic end.

Please do check out the website. Those girls (and there will be some like you! Skinny and in general good health with only a diagnosis) can be an amazing support system and can provide a wealth of information that I don't have because I'm treating totally different symptoms.

Definitely ask about the GYN. Up your iron by taking iron =)

I did a TV show. My symptoms were out of hand: My husband and I were contemplating divorce because my mood swings. My acne was so bad it looked like I was the world's best pizza face. I was putting on 3 pounds a week while eating 1200 calories a day. I made friends with Sasha, who ran the website, and she basically saved me by asking me to drive 3 and half hours every weekend to DC from Morgantown for 14 weeks LOL.

If I can answer anything else, just let me know.

I did this too! I'm the first six photos here. The seventh is of my shoes. Those are the tamest shots. It came out gorgeous and my husband was like DAMN about the whole thing. It is nice to know that my sexiness is recoverable.

EDIT: I have PCOS too!

I would start building resources if I were you. The first place I ever went for support was PCOSChallenge.com. Sasha and the other girls there are amazing and there is a huge collective of information there (for all versions of PCOS) as well.

PCOS is, at its most basic, a hormonal imbalance where an overabundance of estrogen causes testosterone to skyrocket to try to balance it. Remember, you have to be your own advocate! Don't leave the doctor's office without getting your questions answered - you paid for their time! You can find a PCOS specialist here. Work with a therapist for the anxiety. Work with a gynecologist for the infertility and cysts.

I fall on the other end of the spectrum - very heavy (though not as heavy as I was YAY!), super irregular and extra long periods, terrible skin, etc. Don't be afraid to try different meds or vitamins to get you to your goal. It is possible. Three of lovely PCOS ladies who I've met randomly who all had struggles to get pregnant totally reached their goals and have kiddos now.

Here's another post I wrote for the boyfriend of a girl who just got diagnosed. I stick by it.

Good luck, and if you ever need anything, feel free to PM me. I've done a TV show about PCOS so yeah LOL (pcos.tv).

For me, it was 50%. We invited 287. We got 134. Got married in a central location with most people within a six hour drive (at the farthest) from us.

For me, all of those one listed in the boyfriend post were PCOS/PCOS symptom related. It really just depends on what's making you suffer. Since surgery in September, I'm really only on Calcium and Magnesium (for blood sugar). I've never heard of raspberry ketones, so see! You learn something new everyday.

I do not know. I think she wanted me to do the insertion and then take it from there. I really couldn't have done it though.

I actually have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, hence the cysts. I lost weight doing a TV show (pcos.tv) and getting bariatric surgery.

I have no idea. I think she wanted me to do the insertion and then take it from there? Maybe? But yeah, it wasn't happening.

At the gynecologist's office for a transvaginal (read: inside me) ultrasound. As I laid on the counter, pantless with my legs near-over my head, the radiologist dimmed the lights. She approached me with a wand in her hand. It didn't look quite like the one you see for pregnancy ultrasounds, but I thought it looked like it could do the same thing. I asked, "Do you need my to pull up my shirt?"

"No. Here."

She handed me the wand. "Ok," I said, "now what?"

She looked at me like I was the crazy one and said, "You put it in."

Now, I am pantless, my legs are practically over my head, and at the time, I weighed in around 300 pounds. As far as I can tell, this is as far as I bend - this 90 degree angle they've got me in already. "Not gonna happen."

"Fine."

She pulls the wand back from my hand, and I offer, "You know, I think if we're doing this, ya'll owe me a movie and a dinner."

Crickets.

I'm laying there with someone wiggling a wand in my hoo-hah.

I don't how embarrassing, but um, awkward.

TL;DR: Radiologist wouldn't go out with me after seeing all my ovarian cysts.

Another time with the same gynecologist, I had a male med student in the room. She said for him to give me a breast exam. He went to work, squeezing around. She turns to him and says, "No, no, no. Like this! Like a lawnmower" and runs her hands over my breasts. "Feels like oatmeal doesn't it?" He turns 11 shades of red, but does it the way she showed him. Halfway through, he starts making mowing noises.

TL;DR: My boobs are grassy knolls.

Has anyone else ever had this problem using eCampus with Firefox? It works fine on Chrome, but it's getting annoying having to switch every time. by whitemamba83in WVU

[–]audj 0 points1 point ago

You should contact the helpdesk at 293-4444. If they can't help, your ticket will be forwarded to the eCampus unit. Also, Chrome is totally not supported at all even though it is apparently working.
