Depending on how good the copy is, the copied mind may not be able to tell. The orignal mind though, would die. You would not wake up. A different mind that is exactly like yours would.

The only (theoretical) way around this is to transfer your mind to your new host brain a bit at time, just like how you lose and gain new brain cells all the time yet still retain the same mind.

Check out the Sawyer Squeeze. It filters down to .1 micro opposed to the .2 of the Katadyn, and the filter can be backwashed so it's pretty much good forever. It's also extremely light and small, and only $50.

If you made your own liquid ice cream you could freeze it on the trail with a metal bowl, a spoon, and some powered dry ice. This would also allow you to mix in whatever ingredients you'd like, like candy or fresh fruit.

It's certainly something we still need to tackle. There are some grey areas for education and technology in the public domain. There are also exemptions for Canada, the UK, and Australia, though if we plan on releasing our work online, that'd be a worst case scenario.

This is still a topic we need to thoroughly examine though, and preferably by a lawyer. There are definitely a lot of people, the president included, who feel the current regulations are overly restrictive.

Non US citizens will be allowed. There may be some areas that will need to be blocked off from public view to some extent but hopefully we can avoid these restrictions if possible.

The title and article come across as somewhat biased. She was 17 when he was 13. That's like a Freshman and a Junior/Senior. The boy would be at least 17 now, and probably almost 18. Double standards suck, but the only thing that makes this come across badly is the fact that her mother abused him in the past. That said, I do agree if the sexes were reversed the charges would be harsher.

I believe "downloaded content" means ringtones and whatnot. My month is nearly up and I've easily gone over 5GB (tethered). I just clocked my download speed at 2 Mbps. They do cap their $40 unlimited dongle plan at 5 GB though.
