And /b/, being one of the highest-traffic boards on 4chan, would have the same status...

Why does 4chan think reddit is only about /r/f7u12? Because it has a few striking attributes that set it apart from the more mundane parts of the site. Same for /b/.

Oi mate.

So wait, if Cadence was an alicorn, does that mean that this little filly was canon? by french_guy_alin mylittlepony

[–]anonumos 1 point2 points ago

I have a feeling Hasbro wants to call Pegasus unicorns "Princess Ponies", hence why Celestia, Luna, the love poison victim, and Cadance are all princesses. That filly in Twilight's imagination was an animation mistake though, according to a layout artist on the crew.

Has this occured to anyone else that it's not about the show anymore? by BlueTurtleBronyin mylittlepony

[–]anonumos 4 points5 points ago

the show wouldn't be where it is without the fans,

This is true for most shows, but this show in particular isn't very affected by the fans, despite popular belief. Thiessen and Alberghetti have said that they don't aim for the bronies and that they kept making the show for its target audience, and that no major changes were introduced when it became popular on the internet, which was about the time most of season two was at or after the scripts phase.

I see the community and the show as almost entirely separate entities, with the exception of Derpy, Equestria Girls, There's a Pony For That, DJ Pon3, and Lyra. It may sound like a lot when it's listed like that, and it's definitely more than almost any other fan interaction with an on-the-air show, but it boils down to three background characters and two aimed-at-the-fans commercials.

The rainbow on the logo is wrong.

Since all the members of the MPAA make about $10 billion a year combined, and Google makes the same on its own, why can't Google just lobby for copyright reform? by anonumosin technology

[–]anonumos[S] 0 points1 point ago

A lot of copyright makes sense, the reforms google wants may not be the reforms I want thus this is a classic fallacy of appeals to a powerful dictator. If reform comes it will be democratic in nature. Not whatever makes google happy.

Don't focus on Google; tech companies in general make more than Hollywood and the recording industry, and people want copyright reform. Why can't it get legislated?
