Mass Effect 3, despite the mediocre ending was an amazing journey, Fez blew my mind a handful of times, Asura's Wrath is batshit insane, though having to buy the "true end" separately is pretty disgusting. Still pretty early in Diablo 3 but I am having a lot of fun with it.

I see no double standard. What I see is someone reviewing a game based only on the game itself, not the circumstances surrounding it. Ignoring the DRM, D3 is a great game, and ignoring the fact of yearly releases CoD are good games. Those are obvious factors that any consumer is aware of and shouldn't effect a review of the gameplay itself.

Do you actually have proof of that? Even if it is, I played through ME3 all the way through without the DLC and still had a great time. I was not scammed, I was not taken advantage of. The option to not buy the DLC was entirely my own choice.

Then just spend the $60 and be happy with it. DLC that is required for full enjoyment of the game is pretty rare.

$60 for approx 100 hours of content is a damn good deal, but if you feel like the bonus content is worth the extra money then feel free to buy it.

Personally I don't give a damn if the DLC is on disc or downloaded. What offends me is selling a $60 and requiring that you spend another $7 to see the ending. Whatever though, I bought Asura's Wrath used so fuck em.

Technically they are all canon. Obviously some events cannot overlap (there are multiple universes), but things like character history apply to all routes.
