WoWReforge is a more accurate reforging site in comparison to MrRobot by G_Rothin wow

[–]Zoopercat 3 points4 points ago

Actually, this is a big misconception about BiS lists. Most lists are really good, but they assume everyone wants to use the same stat weights. Mr. Robot's BiS lists are dynamically generated based on your stat weights and preferences.

You can also load a gear list for any particular slot and see what's an upgrade on an absolute or relative basis. Absolute ignores all of your other gear and gives you a straight-up-stat-based ranking. Relative looks at every other piece of gear you're wearing, assumes nothing else will change, and tells you what the best upgrades are for that setup.

Mr. Robot does let you edit stat weights.

Hey, I'm one of the people behind Ask Mr. Robot and wanted to clear a few things up :)

  • Caps (like Hit) - We definitely handle this, and it's all based on stat weights. If anyone's character isn't working right, give me your character name and I'll check it out.
  • Reforging: sure I'm biased, but Mr. Robot handles reforges better than other sites, for one reason: we take into account everything else, including your gems and enchants. That let's us play with various options to get you as close to your caps as possible while keeping your damage (or healing) as high as possible.
  • Racials, base stats, and diminishing returns, and anything extra: yes, we handle these. Mr. Robot is... a robot. He likes math and accounts for every little mathy detail when optimizing your character.
  • We actually had a lengthy conversation on the Convert To Raid podcast #46 last sunday alllll about stats. We start in after the news, at 38:15 min or so if you want to check it out.
  • We have a little site tour that covers some of the features people might be missing, like stat weight editing, as well as a picture-tutorial in our forums.
  • As always, if something doesn't seem right, give us your character and realm and we'll look into it :)

Swindx, I'm one of the people behind Ask Mr. Robot. If you load your character into the tool, then click on the 'gearing strategies' button in the menu strip, you'll be able to pick stat weights for the lower haste breakpoint. Once you can reach 2005, switch it back so Mr. Robot suggests new reforges/gems/enchants to get to 2005 :) Here's a picture of what that looks like.

Hey, I'm one of the people behind Ask Mr. Robot. First, glad you like the tool! Second, you touched on a feature we want to build at some point: a cooler way to compare gear and stats. One of the ideas we've been kicking around is a comparison mode - picture those 'comparison' views you can do when buying products from various websites.

That feature will be a while, but stay tuned, we're always improving things.

frmorrison has a good solution by using 2 browser tabs. Your solution to use the wish list tab is also a good way to do it.

Imagerguy, is that the actual mod/enhance/armoring? Or is that the pattern for them?

Rev, yeah I was looking for the level 25 schematic drop. Are you saying the actual level 25 mod dropped (not the schematic)? If so, I may have misunderstood you.

I took this screenshot last night: http://blog.askmrrobot.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/battlemaster_crafted_boe.jpg

The battlemaster gear, when crafted, requires valor, but when it isn't crafted, I believe you do not need valor (as you suggested).

It isn't that at all! I'm collecting screenshots for proof when people want to know the source. There's a lot of misinformation out there, so I want to provide cold-hard evidence for anyone who wants to see it. For example, take a look here, this is where I want to add a screenshot. http://blog.askmrrobot.com/2012/04/craftguide/#screenshots

Sweet! Any chance you have a screenshot of it when it dropped, or can get me one next time you see it?

For now, I'd love a screenshot of the window where you can craft it, to prove it CAN be crafted.

Yeah, I've been tracking this info down for weeks and still haven't gotten proof of the ones marked with ???. I figured if people see the infographic and why I want the data, maybe I can fill the last ones in this week :) Crossing my fingers, at least.

Do you have a screenshot of one of them when they drop? This is the first time I've even had a source suggested for those, so I'm pretty excited (but need a screenshot).

Thanks for providing screenshots and checking on the data. I made a note in the legend about rated vs unrated, but maybe it isn't clear enough. I'll think on it, and see if I can make it clearer :)

I have full lists of craftable gear, and screenshots to back up the data in the infographic, here

Hey, were you able to get your cybertech to take a screenshot? I'm still trying to get proof for absolute certainty!

evilbob - if you can get your hands on one of those level 25 mods that drop (so they are BoE)... I'd LOVE to know if those are RE'able. It's my last idea for a source... ha.

If you can get a screenshot with the tooltip when you hover over it, to show that it was crafted by someone, that would be ideal!

[–]Zoopercat[S] 1 point2 points ago

Hey, we actually have the non-restricted armorings going in an update today (woohoo!) Thanks for the note, we are always on the hunt to make this database as accurate as possible.

Thanks for the source info as well. If anyone has a screenshot of the drop, or the RE% tooltip when hovering over that armoring, that would be LOVELY! :) (reminder: no need to actually RE it).

[–]Zoopercat[S] 0 points1 point ago

Just hover over the mod, but I think you have to extract it first which costs around 40k credits. But don't do that - we have confirmation that the 24's cannot be RE'd when pulled from gear, and the 26's CAN be RE'd when pulled from gear.

Hey, do you have screenshots of the tooltip when you go to RE? I'd like to keep a few for my records.

Crafting Mods & Armorings: Level 23, 24, 25 and 26 by Zoopercatin swtor

[–]Zoopercat[S] 1 point2 points ago

Hey, the level 26 mods and enhancements from BH gear can be RE'd. I believe I saw a screenshot that the armorings cannot be RE'd, I'll dig that up to make sure I remember correctly.

The BM mods are level 25. The mods removed from BM gear can't be RE'd, but it's possible some of the level 25 mods in the OP list can be RE'd. Waiting confirmation.

When I'm done, I'll put together a comprehensive chart of everything I know.

Hey, are you saying you extracted a mod from stonewall, and the tooltip does NOT say you can learn a pattern from it?

Crafting Mods & Armorings: Level 23, 24, 25 and 26 by Zoopercatin swtor

[–]Zoopercat[S] 0 points1 point ago

Alright - daily commendations armorings can't be RE'd. Thanks, check that off the list!
