Have you met miss jones, Stablemates (fucking hard), The Song is You, Turnaround, Ornithology, Afternoon in Paris, Joyspring, Hot House, Wave and Anthropology tend to get called a lot where I play as a house bassist. I usually play those songs every week.

Toshiko Akiyoshi and the Lew Tabackin Big Band. For modern big band, they are pretty alright.

Would you recommend Black Beauty's? by The_Irishmanin Bass

Hm, all you can do is spend the money and try it out, since I don't know how your bass sounds. If you don't like them, buy a new set.

Depends on your model, man. I have a 96 SR 500 and it sounds very dull to me. Not unusable, but lifeless to my ears.

Hey man, it's on the internet. It has to be true.

Your logic is sound, but I would think that it would be a pain in the ass to find the right time since nobody is ever actually listening to the bassist.

Depends on your bass and what you like. I have some on my Ibanez and to be honest, they don't do the bass many favors. I also don't like the texture. The coating feels thick and doesn't really feel right to my fingers. They may work better on my fretless bass though if the Ebonol can handle it. Upside is they last for ages and look kickass, but if I wanted that dull a tone on my basses, I would just go for flatwound strings. Just my opinion.

You read the Sunday Mail as well? Children that age can barely focus for an hour in class, let alone focus on 10 hours of hardcore porn. I hate that rag. Third rate journalism at its finest.

Anyone else here going to go see Tommy Emmanuel at QPAC? by Kasuistin brisbane

[–]ZombieOrchestra 0 points1 point ago

The dude is the grandmaster of pop. if you enjoyed yourself, then I am happy. I heard Tony Bennett wasn't that great though. Showing his age and all that. I've played with Tommy's brother before which was an interesting experience but honestly, I really have no desire to go see Tommy play. He is great, but my wallet says no.
