"Big/scary" dog owners, how do you deal with the preconceptions about your pets?

Yeah, and I'm in Ohio where they only just made Pit Bulls legal again. It's really sad how the breed takes the blame for what bad owners do.

I was genuinely insulted last year when I was walking my English bully and a guy actually PICKED UP his yorkie and crossed the street when he saw me coming the opposite way. It's like I can't relax and just enjoy the walk when that happens.

Yes. Image Dynamics, at least at one point, was kinda THE brand for SQ with volume. The IDMAX still stands as one of the best sounding subs I've ever heard.

Like others have said, don't eat yourself alive about what could have been done. Look at where to go from here.

On that note, I'd say wait a bit before, for example, getting another. Decompress, relax, grieve, have your good memories about the little guy, and then look into getting a new friend.

As the owner of big dogs... those people are assholes. My one friend has a three pound morkie (maltese+yorkie) and I could not love him more. Little guy is sweet and energetic and gets along impressively well with my boys.

A "real dog" is whatever dog meshes best with your life and personality.

Sounds good to me. Obviously I'm not expecting a w3 to be on the level of a 6 or 7, but it does damn well enough for what I make it play, but I was worried that porting it would make it lose SQ and turn "boomy". Now I'm gonna scope out getting an HO box.

See, I don't think Leno is a villain at all. Execs? Absolutely. Ever read/seen The Late Shift? Jay himself was largely an amiable shill. It was his PRESENCE that fucked Conan, but he absolutely didn't want it to go down that way.

Conan, IMO, is far better in a slightly off-mainstream locale. You can't tell me his Tonight Show was anywhere as good as his Late Night. Late Night with Conan O'Brien was just incredible. The characters, the skits, everything. Cleaning it up was unfair to HIM and his AUDIENCE both.

The execs didn't want Conan to have it. That's the point. They weren't forcing Leno IN, they were forcing Conan OUT. Plus (and I"m too drunk to recall exactly) there were a lot of contractual clauses that tied Jay's hands.

That's why Conan himself bears no ill will to Jay, but fucking HATES the NBC execs.

No, no it wasn't. The ratings after Conan took over took a HUGE nosedive. They weren't as bad as Leno's, but he was basically in a new time slot. Conan took over a franchise and they were expecting the ratings to stay the same. They didn't.

It's worth pointing out that Leno himself didn't actually make any of these decisions. NBC said "okay this is how it's gonna be: both of your shows have awful ratings, so we want it back like it was when we had the best ratings in our time slots". Conan didn't like the idea of moving the Tonight Show, so he decided to walk, and Leno went back to his old job.

The FACT of it all was that both shows were failing hard. I know we, as Team Coco members, don't want to admit this, but he was not a great 11:30 host. He did so well at 12:30 thanks to being able to get away with much edgier bits that catered to a younger audience (who, by the way, would also be watching Family Guy or The Colbert Report at 11:30). Putting him on earlier both split his audience AND made him tone it down.

Leno, meanwhile, just has that 11:30 "people who just watched the news" audience, and they didn't follow him to earlier.

TL;DR Leno isn't the villain, settle down.

The RE XXX is my dream sub and has been for like 7 years. It's an absolute goliath. I've heard one of the 15s, and this was a while ago, they're even better now. They run ~$500 new, but they're one of the few drivers I think is worth it. As opposed to, say, Incriminator that charges $1500 for its Warden series. :P

Now, it's a good question as to whether it's better to sell the w7 and buy a pair of something else, or just get another w7. If you can find a used w7, do it. It's easier than swapping crap around.

SIDE NOTE: what enclosure is your w7 in now?

I have one dog from a breeder and one from a rescue. I love both, and depending on what you're in it for, go EITHER way.

If you want a "moral" way of looking at it, think of this: that dog from the breeder is gonna get sold, so if YOU take it, that's a dog that won't END UP in a shelter, as opposed to someone else who just bought a puppy on a whim and will be giving him/her up in a month when they can't handle the responsibility.

Chronicle's plot was pretty awful, but it was filmed beautifully. Keep the aesthetic of SotC and this could be a big winner.

I'm REALLY impressed with my Alpine MRP-M500 amp. It's also hyper efficient.

By the way, I don't really mean to discourage you against a second dub7. If you have the cash on hand, a pair of them will DEFINITELY cause damage! I was just seeing if you'd thought it over.
