Skype alternatives for Linux? by thebackhandin linux

[–]Webframp 12 points13 points ago

It's not exactly like Skype but I've had good results with mumble lately: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/

Audio quality is very comparable to Skype.

There's mobile clients that work very well, I've used the iOS one.

1/over 9000

There doesn't seem to be any shape to it. The felt stuff seems out of place and the pleated cuffs on he sleeves are no good.

Maybe a better pic could show more detail?

The suede and sole looks great together. Not a fan of the stitching though.

Little help from MFA by fostermattin malefashionadvice

Sorry, but I disagree. The moccasin/boot hybrid just seems like a formless show that can't make up it's mind. For mocs I'd definitely go with something like this instead as mentioned:

What are the differences between how the Levi"s 521s and the Levi's 508s fit? by DoucheBagPipein malefashionadvice

[–]Webframp 0 points1 point ago

Both are a tapered style, but the 508s are classified as 'regular' fit and the 521s are a 'slim' fit. Wish I could speak from experience, I generally prefer the 514s which I suppose are closest to the 521s but without the taper.

Trying to figure out my suit pants - help? by Arcs_Of_A_Jarin malefashionadvice

[–]Webframp 0 points1 point ago

Seems like the issue is length. There's not quite enough to have well defined break, but it's not short enough to be a clean no-break. The rest of the fit looks pretty good.

What does MFA think about my first suit? by tartsmybodyin malefashionadvice

[–]Webframp 0 points1 point ago

Pants are too long, even for a full break. Good staple color though.

Pretty sure I have a spare one lying around, cisco I think. If I do it's yours, no trade needed. Let me see if I can find it and I'll message you.

Just be careful, they often spray poison on the ones along the Springwater Trail in several places. I live right off of it and see them come through spraying every summer.

I'll second this. Speaking as an IT Director myself, the work is much less hands on technical work than you may expect and is solidly a management role. You do need a broad grasp and understanding of many IT topics, and It can be very enjoyable, but if you're the sysadmin/dev type then a Director of IT position is probably not the position you want to jump into.

Can you share your process for doing this? I've been thinking of using LaTeX for more documentation, or a generic format that can be converted later using pandoc or similar, so any info would be helpful.
