This one has been posted a few times and I agree. Barney and Marshall are almost interchangeable to me, but it's definitely Lily > Ted >>> (personally) Robin.

I guess it would be Calc 3 for me. Line integrals and vector fields and whatnot. I was so ambitious going into freshman year, got a C, was like "I'm a business major fuck this" and haven't taken a pure math class since.

I think it's mostly because the team exceeded expectations this year. I remember on HFBoards many Flyers fans were expecting a 6-8 seed, so to do so well despite all the rookies probably inflated expectations. Personally, I'm looking forward to the future.

The obnoxious Whartonite stereotype holds even less true as you become upperclassmen. Freshmen in particular come in expecting to be in the top 1% of their class and work at Blackstone and rule the world blah blah, but by junior year most people are somewhat disillusioned with the Wharton education and become less competitive (outside of OCR).

I just got back from the game. It was my first playoff game and first NHL game since 3rd grade 12 years ago.

It was everything I could have hoped for. Amazing atmosphere. More than anything though, I was blown away at how good Giroux is. I mean everyone knows he's good, but it's that much more noticeable in person. The guy just elevates the play to another level.

Hah yeah I grew up in Nova Scotia so no major league teams, and as a college student it's hard to justify spending money on tickets. I figure this is the last chance I'll have to see them win on home ice before the year is over, against their biggest rivals, and for a reasonable price all things considered. Gotta love Flyers hockey.

I bought my ticket on a whim earlier today. It's my first playoff game and my first NHL game since a Detroit @ Edmonton game in 3rd grade sometime around 99.

I think Cornell and Brown are on the lower end of the financial aid spectrum. I know there was a big deal because Cornell revoked some of the financial aid promises it made to international students a few years ago. I'm at Penn and the financial aid has honestly been better than expected. I'm still going to graduate with a lot of debt, but less than I would have thought before coming.

At the undergraduate level that's not really true. They have some of the best financial aid in the country and most of it is in the form of grants. A family making less than $180k won't pay more than 10% of their income at Harvard or Yale, for example.

I live with a bunch of basketball fans so I've been watching quite a bit of it lately. The comment is definitely wrong, but I think hockey fans tend to understate the athleticism of basketball players.

I live in University City in a rowhouse and my entire block has easy access to the roof. It's great for smoking or hanging out, especially in nice weather.

It's a pretty scary drop though. Hearing the thud of anything hitting the ground is pretty intimidating.

Flyers and Pens in the first round would be one of the best matchups of the playoffs IMO. I don't know who'd win (although I'm a Flyers fan) but I think it would be an exhausting series for whoever comes out on top.

I have a cousin who dropped out of school and within a few years had somehow managed to amass a TON of money. He bought their family a huge mansion, they had a Ferrari, Mercedes SLR, they spent 200k+ on handpainting the trims of their house. My parents were always suspicious of where the money came from, as the most anyone would say is that he ran an "export/import" business.

Last I heard, turns out he was involved in smuggling heroin, and there was a huge bust and he fled the country. Living somewhere in the Persian Gulf now. Their family lost everything, but I don't think anyone is too sympathetic. Your son is a college dropout and suddenly brings home millions and you never wonder where it came from? ಠ_ಠ

tl;dr: Cousin somehow became super rich. Turns out he was smuggling heroin into Canada and has since fled the country.

Nope. I've walked into two smoke shops in Canada (one in Halifax, one in Toronto) in the past year and both had Djarums.

I did this bus trip a few weeks ago. Same deal, one full day in Toronto. 10-11 hours each way in three days was brutal. Good luck though.
