You can perfectly interpolate any 3 points using a quadratic, thus doing so does not yield any useful predictive information. For such a small data set, your best (and only) bet would be a simple linear model - perhaps Least Squares Linear Regression.

The whole idea of this project was to make something that would be more convenient and more phone-integrated than the default website. I suppose it's up to you to judge whether or not it succeeded. I'm not sure what you mean when you say that the RPI website has more information - we get our information from the RPI website and display exactly the same items. Can you give a specific example? Searches that you make are cached on your phone for fast recovery, but not the entire database (yet).

You could start with that torrent that someone posted... but I'm sure if you set it up with a good submission page, it would become populated very quickly.

I went to it a while back. I'd say it's totally worth it - you get a way better lunch than you can get anywhere else on campus. Other than that, it's just a pretty casual environment where you eat with other students and professors.

I'm pretty sure it is just a GPA cutoff.

EDIT: Oh, by the way, the purpose of the whole thing is to sell you the idea of graduate school.
