I'm guessing you're a PC gamer based on the games you've listed, and I play Xbox so I'm not sure which titles are crossovers, but some of my favorite multiplayer games are Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (latest version), CoD4 (if you can find unmodded lobbies), GRAW is a oldie but goodie, Lost Planet was fun (dunno if people still play that though). That's all that I can think of off the top of my head, but you should definately try out BF3 again, I play on xbox and ran into the same problem you had, but the more I play, the more I'm loving the game. As for single player games go, Alan Wake is crazy fun, albeit scary. You should check it out.
