Went to Kawasaki's Demo Day yesterday, I think I'm in love by Barracuda57in motorcycles

First of all let me say that I absolutely LOVE my CBR 1000RR, however, I do a fair amount of riding (~6000 mi./yr.) and lately I've become extremely interested in the benefits afforded to the rider by way of ABS and TC. I sniffed out a good deal on one of last years Zed Ex Tens with ABS and am thinking about making the switch. I know I should be happy with the beautiful bike I have now but the allure of new bells and whistles is getting to me. I'd love to hear from any current gen ZX10R owners, but I'll open the floor up to all rideitors who'd like to weigh in with their two cents on the potential switch.

1000cc Honda Moto GP Bike Puts Out... Oh screw it, that's a SEXY pic. by TriumphsNTriplationsin motorcycles

I have a very limited understanding of the concept but I've read that on the GP style exhausts, the "low to the side" exhaust output that you mentioned is used to reduce or eliminate "back pressure".

Why the fuck would you let me test ride this blue beauty BMW? $18,000 has never seemed so reasonable :( by saneenoughin motorcycles

[–]The_Br3wMast3r 2 points3 points ago

I was looking into the possibility of getting one of the these but I have a general question for anyone who can help me understand something. I see on the S1000RR website they have the MSRP listed at $15,500 (I think). Then I see at a local dealer they have one listed for sale at $16,740, and OP posted $18,000. So I guess my question is, why the differences? I've only ever bought used motorcycles before so, I have a limited knowledge of how a "new" bike purchase works, and I am aware that sometimes there is some sort of "set up" fee that is included, but, shouldn't we as the consumer still expect to at least be at MSRP if not a bit under? Anyone who can shed some light on what's going on here would be welcome. Thanks.

Has anyone actually beaten NGS+? by haippain vita

[–]The_Br3wMast3r 2 points3 points ago

I'm on Chapter 9 right now. I've been taking my time though because, while I like it better than ModNation, FIFA has been getting most of my time. Part of the reason I even bought NGS+ was because I played the original on black box and I made it to the very final boss and could never get over the hump. It was a major blow to my video gaming ego at the time, and so I thought I'd shock the world this time on Vita. We'll see if it happens...I'm holding out hope...

For those of you who have bought/sold on Craigslist... by wryguy89in motorcycles

[–]The_Br3wMast3r 0 points1 point ago

Hey man, just my 2₵ but once you talk to them on the phone you can get a better idea of what you want to do. I mean, I took a friend with me, but I still thought it was a little crazy to just be showing up at someone's house with $6K in my pocket, but, it worked out just fine. The funny thing is…dude didn't even count the money. He just casually put it in his pocket and said, I have your address if there's a problem. And I've sold some of my older cars on CL too. If you talk to them and your spidey sense isn't tingling, go for it.

r/vita has just hit 1337 mobile gamers, so what's everyone playing? by mwuk42in vita

[–]The_Br3wMast3r 1 point2 points ago

I think it's really fun. It's almost exactly like the PS3 version. I was a little disappointed about the lack of online head to head but, but I had mixed experiences with the online for PS3 so I wasn't too heartbroken. But yea, it's a blast to pick up and play a couple of races…I even made a few tracks and it's fun to race there. Overall, especially with it only being 30 bucks I've been happy with it so far!

I got Mod Nation and Ninja Gaiden Sigma +

Both look AMAZING as I'm sure most games will. The thing I really get excited about is, with as impressive as these release titles are, what can we expect in the future?? Bring on Killzone!!

I don't know what the hell that thing is but it's AWESOME!! Reminds me of something I would have thought was badass from when I was a kid in the 80's!! I would ride that thing with a big smile!! And I've never been a big fan a 'busas but I think it'd be wild to have something with that kind of displacement!! Glad you're on our team now though!!

You are indeed correct sir. And that helmet is brand new, I had one of the original Domain helmets and it held up well for a long time, but it was time for a new lid. I'm totally jealous of that orange though, that bike is beautiful...I've always had a thing for orange bikes. That's why I'm thinking a KTM soon or any big supermoto really...I love flying around but I want to get some air!!

Just riding as much as possible. Finally got a few days off from work so I was flying around yesterday, and got the last two, last minute Christmas gifts...it was like 60 degrees (F) here on in PA, absolutely beautiful for Dec 22. And I'll be riding on Christmas day if it stays dry! Merry Christmas everyone and ride safely!

Psh this is my life! And I know that it's really hard to find work right now so let the down voting commence but...I was unemployed for a little while, just hung out and brewed beer. I didn't have any money which sucked, but I was decently happy. Then I got a job at a fortune 500 company and I've been working 65-70 hour weeks for the last two years. In so many ways this sucks so much worse. Just saying.

Question regarding the purchasing process of a used motorcycle... by gasoin motorcycles

[–]The_Br3wMast3r 3 points4 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Hey man. Fellow PA resident here and I just bought my 2nd bike a few months ago. As far as I know, yes, you have to have proof of insurance at the time of purchase. The bike I was looking at was a little over an hour away. What I did was, went to check it out, and decided she was coming home with me. I called my insurance company on the drive over to the notary and let them know I was buying it, all they wanted was my info and the VIN number of the bike. I was still on the phone when we arrived at the notary and was able to give them (the insurance company) the fax number for the notary, and let them know that I would need proof faxed over immediately. Secondly, yes as far as I know, both parties have to be present at the notary at the time of the sale. The gentleman I was buying it from wanted to keep his plate so I was issued a new plate right at the notary. It might be a bit of a pain to get everything hammered out, but I think it's best to take care of it right away and have everything be on the up and up. I hope this answered some of your questions. Hit me up if you have any other questions or if there is anything I missed.

A few questions for Shiba Inu owners past/present. by idkmybffjoein dogs

[–]The_Br3wMast3r 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Hey OP, If you have the patience, a Shiba is the way to go. We've had ours for a little over two years now and she is awesome. The other info posted here is good and not far off...they are very independent and stubborn. But some of the generalizations are just that and not necessarily true of all Shibas. For instance ours loves to be touched and petted and will cuddle up with us often. The one issue it does sound like could be trouble is the shedding question. While Shibas don't shed constantly, two to four time a a year they "blow their coat" which is a pushing out of the undercoat. This produces more fur than you can believe. But like I said, it's more of a seasonal thing. Anyway, I always had bigger dogs in the past and was a bit unsure about getting a Shiba, but, she thinks she is a big dog and is so much fun. Anyway congrats on the engagement and I just wanted to stop by and advocate for Shibas, I can't imagine my life without mine. If you have any other more specific questions feel free to PM me.
