Hah this sounds like such an amazing idea. It's a genius way to get around it, Minecraft also being freeform enough to allow for it. I would definitely be interested in more stories, i'd even suggest posting it over at r/rpg.

I'm still curious though, do you build these worlds in prep for the games yeah? Are they super detailed or just rely heavily on signs to tell them what's meant to be what?

Go to an empty server that has f35s and hover land to cap points for unlocks if you want more but the main cannon is what all jets use in Air to Ai so get used to it.
