There are smarter people than you in your grade right now, I can almost guarantee it. But because they are immature, they are marked off as idiots. Loneliness is painful, don't make that mistake.

And no I don't feel the need to be different, I want to be myself and still enjoy reddit.

A 9 year old can definitely (at many levels), enjoy reddit. There are cats, and silly rage comics and memes. I'm not saying you should leave, but reddit should not be about who you are. Reddit is not a place for certain individuals, but a place for most individuals. Pretty much anyone can find a subreddit to enjoy here.

I don't want to have to watch what I say in case I slip up and let you know I'm only 9.

It's pretty easy to not let people know. If you really are mature (and i'm not saying you aren't), then you should be able to comment on whatever and not have anyone even question your age. Really, you should keep your age a secret. I don't even tell people how old I am on reddit.

Don't worry, I'm not going to post who likes who and such, I'm just here for entertainment.

Why would your parents say anything different? You're like a 9 year old hipster, who feels like she needs to be outrageously different in order to be herself, when in reality, all that does is push you even further away. If you're hanging out with middle/high schoolers, then you are wasting your time. They will never be long term friends. You'll get into high school, and realize you have no friends that are close to you at all. You only get to be a kid with no responsibilities once, take advantage of it.
