Without big lights like HMIs or an Airstar, you won't be able to light wide shots very effectively. So you'll want to keep your shots relatively tight.

Everything is digitized these days into a digital intermediate for color correction before a film out. As an acquisition format, film isn't dead. But in terms of a film-only workflow, well, that's been dead for years.

The moment someone generalizes about something like this, they're usually wrong. There is no strict dichotomy to what a person may be capable of -- no exclusive categories like creative thinker vs scientific thinker. I studied computer engineering for 3 years before I got bored with it and transferred to a film school.
