Are witch doctors flying under the radar? Are they strong? weak? balanced? Haven't heard any buff or nerf whining regarding them

That's interesting. There doesn't seem to be any info on exactly what stats effect your pets, other than Intelligence for their meager damage. I really like having my gargantuan to draw some of the attacks, but he's starting to get taken out by mobs in nightmare. Might be time to buff up on the armor.

Search for comparable legendary rings in that lvl range. My guess is it will go somewhere in the range for 2 mil, but I've never had to search for legendary rings in the auction house. I just found a lvl 40ish legendary shield that was selling from 250k - 3mil. I would guess a ring like that could go for higher.

Pretty nice, but at that level, the absence of vitality is a really big issue. Still, the bonus to crits are cool.

Have good DPS and get a full Soul Harvest stack? Watch the screen melt to bones in less than a second. So satisfying.

It doesn't really do anything in the game. Just there for fun. I guess using it to mark things could be considered an actual use. But no, it doesn't change your spawnpoint.

Well, I'd really like to see a full-on summoner/pet class. The WD pets are a poor necro replacement (Blizz has even said multiple times that they're just meant to be temporary meatshields while the WD directly does all the damage).

Several others have suggested perhaps a shapeshifter, who could change shape and access different skills based on various playstyles (like a D2 druid on steroids).

I thought I had read somewhere that once you get over 100 base damage, the percent bonus to intelligence would benefit you more than just raw damage. But I don't have the ability to find this out myself right now. I'm sure there are some formulas and whatnot to figure this out.

So with the high damage weapon we see here, I'd rather slap a big fat topaz in there for huge multiplication of the base damage.

They're great for aoe damage. I prefer Locust Swarm, but I've never tried to calculate how much difference in dps there actually is (depends on how many spiders per jar you get).

It seems like the AH is just so flooded with items and it's really hard to sort through them, that you're just one tiny voice in a see of thousands. Getting potential buyers to even look at your item has about as much chance as getting a rare drop. This is why I've sold crap rares about as much as really good rares, even though the prices would be roughly the same. Right now I have some really good ones with competitive prices just sitting there. I assume because they're in a list of a thousand similar items that people can't easily sort through.

Unfortunately, there is no way to look up average going rates. Best you can do is search for items similar to what you're selling. You'll quickly find there is a lot of variation between very similar items.

I like to sell for what I think I would personally pay for something. At around lvl 30, I've had luck with buyouts of 10k - 15k for decent rares. Don't overcharge. There are idiots trying to sell similar items for 500k. Those auctions will just sit there, taking up one of their valuable 10 auction slots. I have no idea what lvl 60 items go for because I'm nowhere near that.

I just think they're really, really rare this time. I've heard that legendaries are something like 0.003% drop rate. This feels way lower than uniques in D2, where you would likely see one or two in an entire game playthrough.

That's not a bad plan. I've made quite a bit of gold selling some rares, and purchased a few for well more than their worth. But ultimately it's so broken and a pain in the ass that it's really not worth it.

Oh yeah, that looks like fun too. Have you tried the Zombie Charger with the Undeath rune? That was fun to play with before I settled on firebomb. If you Locust Swarm to get a mob's hp down, then cast the zombie charger, it will set off a chain reaction and you have zombies running zig-zag across the whole mob. It's hilarious.

I love this. I recently tried a Locust Swarm / bouncing Firebomb build and everything just melts in front of me. It's really a blast.

It still can't beat the raw DPS of exploding toads, but it's much more predictable, reliable, and faster. With a full Soul Siphon stack, the Locust Swarm just literally melts everything on the screen. So satisfying. Then I lob the firebombs down the middle for a little bit of direct damage and a nice splash area, like some bowling ball from hell.

Really, I'm just loving the huge amount of variety in builds, and the crazy amount of completely viable and different skills there are.

I'm lvl 31 and just now realizing this. I've been such a fool. I should have been utilizing the AH this whole time. I just listed a bunch of act 4 boss rares last night for the first time, so we'll see if any of them sell. I have literally no idea what amount to ask for this stuff. I'll probably buy from the AH before getting into NM too far. My DPS is terribly low.
