One more thing to experiment with: nose angle. You won't be able to see what angle it actually flies at, but you can control it and see its effect on the flight path. There are two ways I know of for controlling it: how close your thumb is to the edge of the disc relative to your fingers, and rolling your wrist when you rip. To control wrist roll, I just make sure my wrist stays on-line until I let go of the disc, but I want the bottom of my wrist facing the sky during my followthrough. Other people say they imagine locking a door during the rip. Generally I'd recommend ignoring the wrist and seeing what thumb placement does first.
