"Netbooks aren't better at anything!" What about the 11" MacBook Air? by RiseDarthVaderin apple

No, there is a reason the ultrabook class exists. The MacBook Air is not a netbook.

Apple TV 2.0 Features Seamless Siri Integration by I_SHIT_KARMAin apple

[–]Stingray88 0 points1 point ago

While I'm glad people are shifting from calling it iTV, a name it certainly won't be called (because the British ITV said no way)... calling it Apple TV 2.0 is seriously confusing. I'm sure I'm not the only one that confused Apple TV 2.0 with the 2nd generation AppleTV.

Absinthe 2.0 Download Available For iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak by duffmanhbin apple

I don't know if it works like that, but I do know if you do a backup to your computer, re-jailbreak with the new software, then restore your backup it should maintain all your settings/apps including stuff from your JB.

So you're doing it by hand? That's even more expensive than using machines on polished stone! Labor costs dude!

Room for improvement? Apple's options for the next iPhone's camera by alanXin apple

[–]Stingray88 0 points1 point ago

Image stabilization improvements happen every year, I'm confident we will have optical zoom in smartphones eventually.

As for your canon... that's not a very good example. Your lens is huge because it doesn't need to be small. Removable SLR/DSLR lenses don't need to be smaller than what you can comfortably support by your off hand. It also has to be big enough to fit the mount point on your camera, anything smaller than that would be pointless and most likely fragile.

Cameras in phones worry about size, SLR/DSLR cameras... not as much.

Indeed so.

Air, Justice, M83... We can throw Daft Punk in there too. Fucking love all that, especially Air.

iPhoto - "Show Package Contents" in Time Machine? by WeMetAtTheBloodBankin applehelp

[–]Stingray88 0 points1 point ago

Mount your time machine backup and browse it with finder. Just don't open the time machine app and you'll be good to go. Once you browse to your iPhoto library you just show package contents on it.

Carved in stone would not be cheaper than tape. Stone isn't cheap.

Yup. Most live television is recorded to HD Cam. At least that's what we use in 30 Rock.

Yep. Moore's law applies to transistor density, and that's all. Applying it to everything/anything else in computing is a misnomer.

One-star reviews on newegg are a terrible indicator

FTFY

Reviews for almost everything everywhere are unbalanced toward the negative. When things work as expected, people are just happy and move on with their day. It's usually only when shit goes south that they want to put forth the effort into writing a review.

That's only if you have the box checked on the authenticator page of your bnet account to require it's use every time you log in.

But since it asks every time you use a different computer, unless you play in a cyber cafe or public library... that's really not necessary and causes you pointless hassle.

Your saying there isn't much drug use there is a whole episode of them taking shrooms and camping out in there office building

One episode. There's an episode of Sunny where Frank does LSD too, doesn't make it a stoner comedy.

and I do t know where you got the white thing from I could care less I'm white to

It was just another example of hypothetical terrible reasoning in comparison to your own terrible reasoning. Not sure what confuses about that... it wasn't something you had to respond to.

Also, it's you're, not your. You've messed that up twice now, and you might want to work on your sentence structure and punctuation too. This last comment made very little sense grammatically.

Your reasoning and conversation skills are not surprising coming from someone who actually likes Workaholics.

AMA Request: Workaholics Guys by WhayupOnYourFacein IAmA

[–]Stingray88 0 points1 point ago

That's some pretty bad reasoning skills considering there really isn't that much drug use in the show. Even if there was, it wouldn't be a very good conclusion either. But it's not comedy that revolves around drug use, like Half Baked or Harold and Kumar. Coming to the conclusion that I just don't like white people is about as apt of a conclusion. (I'm actually white, and have used plenty of drugs in my day, and enjoy plenty of stoner comedies)

It's just a terrible show. There's nothing funny about it, and it's just trying as hard as it can to be It's Always Sunny and failing really bad.
