Any tips on making money? by shadowslayer978in swtor

I think you're a little off. He didn't say he was doing E"V" but E"C" for the new content that more or less requires full Rakata gear to do.

Top 5 Mounts by GreedoIsDeadin swtor

[–]Srayman 1 point2 points ago

It's very possible that it will drop off 8 man also. Being that we do 16 man I can't confirm but the mounts were the same in EV and KP between 16 man and 8 man.

You forgot this one. By far the best looking IMO. Dropped off Warlord Kephess on 16 man Hard Mode Explosive Conflict.

Is Fabricator still bugged in 8-man KP story mode? by Nombotin swtor

[–]Srayman 4 points5 points ago

That bug was fixed a LONG time ago well before 1.2 came out.

The only downside to him not being puggable is incompetence when it comes to working the puzzle.

You can easily solo tank the fight if you're decently geared. He hits like a baby and I've solo tanked it on Nightmare just fine.

Close to 50, what's the best use of WZ commendations? by Brother-Maynardin swtor

[–]Srayman 0 points1 point ago

Champion gear doesn't even exist anymore.

And if you're at the cap of 2k for warzone commendations you have to spend them somewhere.

[–]Srayman 0 points1 point ago

Depends how much you pvp. If you are a casual pvp'er it could take weeks before you have full battlemaster gear and those extra 3500 WZ comms can get you several pieces right at the start.

[–]Srayman 4 points5 points ago

Weapons first if your class has abilities that are modified by weapon damage. Otherwise get the battlemaster pieces that have the best Expertise/Cost ratio so you can up your expertise as fast as possible.

If you are at the 2k cap in WZ comms then start trading them to rated comms. When you hit 50 you can trade the rated comms back into WZ comms 1 for 1 which would let you have 5500 warzone comms to use to purchase battlemaster gear.

Endgame Progression for young guild by netskinkin swtor

I haven't seen any posts related to your question about the Voss World Boss, but it requires 16 people and is a very tight enrage timer. I would rank it the same as doing 16 man HM Denova.

Thanks, definitely helps to have the screenshot seeing that it works.

REing Campaign Gear w/out Original Armoring/etc by Wallsiein swtor

[–]Srayman 0 points1 point ago

I too am curious about this.

I RE a black hole piece that still had a lvl 61 armoring in it and received a Grade 8 Molecular Stabilizer. I then put a lvl 20ish armoring in an empty black hole shell and when I RE it I received a grade 2 material equivalent to what the armoring I put in would take to make.

Has anyone successfully RE a "Campaign" shell by putting in a random armoring and received the schematic for that piece?

I'm lost on crafting BM and WH augmented armor. by bojack2424in swtor

[–]Srayman 0 points1 point ago

Yes, RE only allows you to learn the schematic if you don't already. But not all gear will let you learn the schematic. Currently only War Hero and Campaign gear will let you learn the schematic through RE as far as I know.

When your companion crafting the gear gets a "crit" it adds an augment slot.

Assassin Tank Struggling against HM Firebrand's Incinerate Armor by jkcheng122in swtor

[–]Srayman 1 point2 points ago

I've done this once on 8 man story mode without tank swapping during incinerate armor. It could be the heals aren't up to the task or that your gear isn't high enough. I was in full Rakata gear.

I would highly suggest you just do a tank swap as soon as he starts casting incinerate armor and then you'll be on Stormcaller while you have the debuff which makes the fight fairly trivial.

Why can we not Reverse Engineer Orange items? by AchillesRagein swtor

[–]Srayman -1 points0 points ago

If you fill the armoring/mod/enhancement slots you can then RE the orange piece for the mats. However, the cost of doing so is probably not worth it unless they are high end grade 5 or 6 mats IMO.

Those statistics you quoted sound very much like real life statistics. It is human nature to be lazy and expect handouts.

HUGE performance increase recently discovered! by Sraymanin swtor

[–]Srayman[S] -3 points-2 points ago

Somewhere in between Low and Very Low would be ideal for me, that would put my laptop around 40 FPS.

But for 60 FPS instead of 20, I can live with it :)

[–]Srayman[S] -3 points-2 points ago

Testing on Ilum I get 20-25 FPS when in combat in mid with 4-5 other players. I have high hopes for my high end machine when dealing with a much larger number of players. I'll have to test tonight.

EA Beats Estimates, 1.7 million SWTOR subs on 2 million units sold by Sraymanin swtor

[–]Srayman[S] 4 points5 points ago

I'm not saying they do. I'm taking the "best case scenario" and showing that it really doesn't amount to that much profit for them. So warning they are going to miss their targets does not equate to them loosing subscriptions. They make a lot more money from other sources to speculate that SWTOR is the reason for missing their targets.

[–]Srayman[S] 3 points4 points ago

As someone else posted, it could mean 2 million sold to retailers and 1.7 million bought and created accounts. But that's starting to get into speculation.

EA Beats Estimates, 1.7 million SWTOR subs on 2 million units sold by Sraymanin swtor

[–]Srayman[S] 0 points1 point ago

1.7 million subs, times 15 a month, times 3 months only comes to 76.5 million for the quarter. After you account for royalties to Lucas Arts, marketing expenses and paying Bioware employees working on the game they're not going to make a huge profit in the short term.

Long term is a different story, small amounts of profit every month will make up for the dip in profits in between different game releases. Their forecasting and past quarter really does not say anything about the health of subscriptions for this game since it does not change their net profit dramatically.

EA Beats Estimates, 1.7 million SWTOR subs on 2 million units sold by Sraymanin swtor

[–]Srayman[S] 6 points7 points ago*

Except the stock has very little to do with this one game. When they have revenue of $1.6 billion in a quarter and of that, roughly $140 million came from SWTOR; if you take $70 to be the average for 2 million copies, the SWTOR sales account for less than 10% of their overall revenue.

Before launch they stated that 500 subs would make a profit and 1 million subs would be "very profitable"

Huttball + a pull = I HATE YOU by ninjanerdbgmin swtor

[–]Srayman 2 points3 points ago

Just stun them before they pull you, or better yet ... throw the ball to them and it insta-kills them and then you get the ball back and score.

Doesn't show how many people cancelled after the first month, but we'll get that number next quarter.
