What? that their "drm" isn't actually a problem at all, makes no difference to how the game plays, and infact makes it far more social and interesting? Seems like your short, thoughtless reply is the best evidence of idiocy here.

You shouldn't be down voted, but the majority of reddit is too immature to appreciate anything that doesn't benefit them directly

Shit, the game requires that I always have electricity? THATS SUCH BULLSHIT. Oh wait, its the internet. I have the internet all the time... it makes no difference to me. People just want to bitch. And this is very late to the show for this specific, belabored, complaint.

Still pretty unreasonable if you ask me. for 5 bucks you can get metro 2033 or deus ex human revolution on a steam sale... even portal 2. Not saying mario isn't worth owning, but I'd figure something like .50 cents is more in line with its value.

haha, for some reason I find this hilarious. I don't know why running isn't just walkings more efficient alternative. Instead of leaving for class at 7:45, why not leave at 7:55 and haul ass over there. I really wish I knew the etiology behind running in normal clothes as a means of just getting somewhere as being socially unacceptable. But I totally agree, It would be weird as fucking seeing everyone just dashing around because they didn't feel like wasting time walking.

[–]Sprakisnolo -1 points0 points ago

Maybe because you picked a single example? I got both dead spaces for 20 bucks earlier this month, Arkham city for 15, deus ex:HR for 7.50. OHHHHH and check this out. I get to play them at super crisp resolutions with enhanced textures, current gen lighting effects, and DX:11 features like tesselation. Not only that, but I can then mod them I'f im really into the game, for free, to extend the life of said game.

Oh... a portal turret. You like portal? NO WAY! Its rare to like portal on /r/gaming, so its good that you posted a picture of one of the turrets. Although its not clever, or original content, or worthwhile, because I like portal I'll mindlessly up-vote it. I do the same thing for zelda games.

I am discussing the profession in general, come now lets talk like adults. Its silly to assume I am saying every single doctor. Why would you take it to that extreme? Like everything, there are exceptions, but by and large it is a noble profession and physicians are compassionate and considerate and in it for the right reasons. There will almost always be exceptions unless were talking about the laws of physics. So lets back away from black and whites, and try to find a consensus opinion.

I'm not a nurse, i'm not defending nurses... thats not who I am talking about. I'm talking about physicians exclusively. Nurses do not equate to doctors. If you think the doctoring profession is by and large unconcerned, unprofessional, and disinterested in their patient population then you are really quite ignorant. Not only that, but you are bad mouthing a group of extremely hard working people who are making a positive footprint in their lifetimes and I find it insulting and quite frankly unappreciative. You think docs are sitting at their computers shopping when patients are yelling for attention? You clearly have never rounded with a doc, have no appreciation for how the job actually works, and are taking out frustrations inappropriately at people intent on improving health. A doctor is not your servant, they are your teammate in improving your health but if you wan't to shit talk your teammate then thats pretty telling of what you can expect out of the relationship. I would refer you to another physician who would be more sympathetic to your viewpoints if you were under my care because I think I would have biases that would impact my treatment of you.

You make it sound as if the medical profession owe yous significantly for some injustices. You sound angry. Would it be better if no one chose to be docs and people just succumbed to disease and suffered horrible deaths for no reason?

It seems to me, that the reasonable point of view is to try to give the profession the benefit of the doubt, seeing as how they are dedicating their existence to stopping you from suffering and dying. But if you truly think you are better off without it, or can gain the knowledge to treat yourself adequately then I encourage you to do just that. I would caution you to not underestimate how difficult and time consuming it actually is to acquire the knowledge of how to practice medicine. It takes no less than 8 years of continuous, extremely diligent study, on top of a gift for science.

I still think its an exceptional act and not really part of the job. It takes a lot to risk your life for another person, and significantly more to risk your-life for an animal. I would like to say the fire men where you live go above and beyond the call, they don't simply resign to do their already heroic job.

On how Diablo III fails to live up to the Diablo legacy by amzeratulin gaming

[–]Sprakisnolo -1 points0 points ago

He's wrong because what he is saying is wrong. The game isn't bad because it strays from D2 and D1 significantly... its a hell of a lot like D2 with some interesting changes. The fact that he hasn't beaten the game to actaully experience how those changes play out makes him full out shit.

On how Diablo III fails to live up to the Diablo legacy by amzeratulin gaming

[–]Sprakisnolo 2 points3 points ago

This is an obnoxious article. The guy is clearly part of the "its different and therefore ruined crowd" that pops up with every sequel. I'm sure he had the same critiques when D2 came out. Then he writes a self-indulgent bit about how the franchise has been wronged using whatever scraps he can mange to bitch about and claims the game is a failure. Has he beat D3? No. So why the hell is he pretending to know anything about the game. He says the gameplay is simplified, but he hasn't even gotten to the point where its complexity supersedes d2.

In short, he wants to be sensational and get views by pandering to a circle jerk about not liking d3 without actually having experienced the game and thus having a valid opinion. Fuck this guy.

Its not just a job to us, I think he was making a joke that was poorly received. Don't think that we sacrifice the best year of our lives slaving away in a library and learning unreasonable amounts of minutia for the pay... its not there anymore. If we wanted a well paying job of similar difficulty we would have gone into business. Medicine is a calling and we treat it as such.
