I give up, WebEx. You tell me what my password should be. by numbskiin geek

At my old job, we just disallowed every possible password. All of them. No one could ever have a password. System was almost never hacked.

Point of interest: probably you have met other people you know on reddit. You just did not recognize them because they were using a "username" instead of their more common "given" name.

How many tickets would a customer have to win in order to be considered a "High-Roller?" You know, someone with enough tickets they could potentially win the ENTIRE Chuck E Cheese?

I think Chuck E Cheese has since been bought by the Laughing Clown Malt Liquor company. "The FUN Malt Liquor for KIDS!"

Follow up question: How many tickets would it have taken to win the baby playing ski-ball?

45 minutes of post debate coverage on CNN, the words "Ron Paul" have not been said once yet. by praxeologuein ronpaul

When is America going to wake up to the fact that these scripted elections are entirely determined by the 1%? The Republicans have stolen every election in this country since 2000.

A customer left this for one of my servers instead of a tip. Ignorance knows no color. by snstrmstchin WTF

If he did not have the money to tip, he should not have been at the bar in the first place.

NEW RULES for submitting IAmA Requests. Requests that do not follow these rules will be banned. by karmanautin IAmA

[–]SleepingSheeple 8 points9 points ago

That would be fine with me. I'm not sure that people would be comfortable giving out their "where" because they don't want people to know where they live. But then again, they could just say they don't want to answer that particular question.

I'd just be happy if we could streamline some of the process. After all, these are the questions that should always come up, so why wait for some one to ask them?

Older youtube streams and movie streaming websites wouldn't let you return to the exact location that with a sudden loss of power. Now Youtube just plays for fifteen seconds and gets stuck in the same place every time.

IAmAs should all start with the same default questions: Who, What, Why, and How.

Older operating systems would not save the system state properly with an OS update, but operating systems of the last ~15 years don't have this problem. You could of course lose your dial-up session to the Internet or screw up an FTP download.

Atheists, please hear me out: There is a huge flaw with many of the arguments posted in this thread. by SleepingSheeplein atheism

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

To clarify, the flaw is that the arguments are too long to keep people's attention span. Make them short and simple or else they won't get read.

Is your stuff falling apart? Thank Walmart. Walmart, with its relentless demands that manufacturers cut costs, has been a major force in making our products shoddier -- and that has us heading back to the store more often to buy still more stuff. by zonkeramosin Frugal

You could replace the word "Wal-Mart" with "Consumer Demand" in your comment, and it would be just as accurate. Except it is easier to blame Walmart than it is to understand the laws of Economics (which would implicate us, the consumers).
