here's the details:

1% agrose gel TAE for both the gel and the buffer

these are digested product, NEB buffer 3, with the restriction enzyme still there. maybe 833ng dissolved in 10ul of 1x loading buffer (originally came in at 6x LD) 1.5mm, x 4 mm wells, by maybe 7mm depth

90 v over a running distance of 10 cm, with bromo blue running to about 80% of length. total electrode distance is about 16cm.

"A cell that's older than 14 years" is not a particularly applicable idea here. All cells come from the initial one-cell zygote... in that sense, all cells are as old as you are.

Do you "reset" the age button when cells divide? Or do you count the age since the cell last comes from the last most-multipotent stem cell, hematopoietic stem cell?

The official policy is that your penultimate semester needs to be under the unit cap. If you work and have just 6 units per semester, then you can stay in Berkeley for 10+ years. (130/6 /2 >10)

As few as possible, assuming that you are probably on the over-achieving end, since you are in URAP. This is especially true if you have those AP credit-with-benefits. Real units only serve to trigger the school to kick you out. You leave options open for yourself if you have fewer units. That said, it also doesn't matter if you want to leave the school early.

well, that's the political organization of the state / government. There are no inherent rights reserved for sub-state authorities. Unlike the federal-state relationship, the state-local gov't relationship is completely lopsided, with the state granting powers to local gov't.

I don't think you understand the message. It is saying how people are not just upset at the idiosyncratic tax rates but also at the government's action in general, which was, for example, bailing out banks that originally caused the crisis.

Treasure every opportunity you have here. It wasn't that long ago that I was in school myself... and a regret that I had was that I didn't really appreciate high school as it was... or at least didn't learn to appreciate it until it was too late.

Take it as a chance to learn what you like... what you enjoy... what you are good at. Have a social life, but be grounded in who you are. Learn what drives you. Learn about the people around you... just do it. Don't worry about being rejected, but get to know everyone in your class. Start with people's names. Ask them about their families. Interests. Hobbies.

You will take what you learn here to college.
