Germany’s $263 Billion Shift To Renewable Energy Is The Biggest Reconstruction Of It's Energy Market Since WWII. by Muqaddimahin worldnews

Well, for one thing, our country is really small and densely populated. The question thus is... were to put all that nuclear waste?

US Customary Units vs. Metric by Zernheltin askscience

Eh... isn't "sterile" exactly what you want in science? Nothing seems to fit with the non-metric systems. You often just have to know. Metric is just "logical". But maybe that's just me, growing up with the metric system.

The thing is, that even with stuff that does enhance audio quality, more than 80% of the people aren't even able to hear it.

Well, human health isn't the problem. The contamination of the environment is. Non-GE plants start to inbreed (what ever the word for that is with plants) with GE plants. The implications of that can not be foreseen. Not to speak of the patent shit that will ensue (btw, that is one of the dumbest ideas ever thought of).

That stuff needs to be banned worldwide. Humans are too ignorant (see history) and we cannot grasp the implications of tampering like that with the environment.

Easier said then done, but how about the following: sometimes you have to be stern with kids. Kids learn really quickly how far they can go. If nothing has consequences, they know it real fast. Threaten to withhold something he really likes (TV, dessert etc.) the next time if he doesn't stay in his room and then really do it (absolutely no giving in on your side, even if it means a lot of crying on his side).

Tell him he doesn't need to sleep, but bed time means he has to stay in his room.

I'm ashamed of most of the governments. Their behavior is absolutely pathetic - not to mention the people calling for assassinations and whatnot. What kind of human beings are they? This is an absolute low. Ever.

Opera 11 Beta out, with tab stacking, visual mouse gestures, and extensions by peroyoin programming

And are quite pathetic. Nothing compares to the natively implemented ones in Opera. Clicking and moving the mouse left or right for going forward or backwards is more then awkward and extremely slow. And none of the plugins (be it Firefox or Chrome) - even if they have the feature to hold right mouse button and click the left for backwards, vice versa for forward - implement it in an usable way. With Opera, this is so fast and easy, that going a few pages back is as fast as you can click your left mouse button.

Anyway, each to his own. Opera rules. ;)

See my edit, forgot to mention one important detail. Maybe the reason why it only farts - instead of whistling.

Well, the key is making a hole between the lower lip and fingers and blowing through that. That hole is what makes the sound. The rest is trying, trying, trying. I always knew how it should work, took me a while to get it to work. After that, whistling that your ears ring is easy. ;)

Edit: Well, one other key ingredient is of course to put the fingers against the bottom part of the tongue, just below the tip (the tongue roles to the back, tip pointing at the uvula). Otherwise the air won't flow correctly through said hole.

Great, I did just that - not knowing, that the keyboard setup "Opera 9.2 compatible" not only defines the shortcuts, but also what shortcuts are available to be defined! ;)

hm... k... do need to think if the trouble is worth it to change the other setup to reflect my key bindings.

Thanx a lot though!

Why am I not able to assign a keyboard shortcut for "new private tab"? Or did I just not see it?
