TROPHY CASE

It's legal armageddon as NBC, CBS and Fox all sue Dish Network over its new DVR feature allowing users to automatically skip ads, and in response, Dish sues them right back -- and adds in ABC for good measure. by PrettyBoyFloydin entertainment

If this goes illegal, there's always pointing a HD video camera at a HD monitor - to get around copy protection - and then cut the commercials out of the film with a program that way.

I'd have a ton of friends willing to pay for advert free cable content!

(they started cable reaching the majority by saying that it didn't have adverts due to the cost of the service, that didn't last long!)

I think it holds true!

But just as people who make more money do work more than people who make less

I'd disagree.

Isn't an Arduino better?

The Pi's only get a few GPIO pins available, and they're directly connected to a stacked RAM/CPU combo without ANY protection there for short circuit/over voltage.

An UNO has about 17, and the chip costs $5 if you smoke one.
Also there's the Ruggeduno... which has protection circuitry on all the common locations where damage can be caused.

I can see a niche that's perfect for a RPi:

A robot run via a neural net, and a small LCD screen up top, showing what it's doing internally.

The RPi has things like the Gert board, for more GPIO controls like steppers, and analogue inputs - but that adds even more to the price!

programming is more difficult in a Windows environment sometimes but hell there is nothing from stopping them using Linux as there are quite a few easy distributions now.

What!?

Linux is incredibly hard to learn.

Windows has a command line to write programs like the "What is your name?" variety.

True, but think of how many kids born to shitty parents move forward to be good solid people and better parents to their own kids. We see these stories on reddit every day. Would we deny them their lives?

The vast majority don't.

They do it IN SPITE of the problems, not because of them. They're exceptional people.

The others - the average kids, who go on to abuse their own kids, or drop out of school, or get involved in hard drugs have a shitty life.

Basically, black people are uncommon enough that it is easy to categorize them solely by skin color,

2050 - blacks will outnumber whites in America, and European countries.

Treat them well, because you and your kids will be the minorities of the future.

Even when I had better grades and more credentials than them and even in the case of one already rich kid who got much more scholarship than me, and way more acceptances.

See, I can shout "racism!" at that situation.

But when a guy is living in the hood, doesn't learn their mother tongue in a way that's acceptable for business and then shouts "racism!", my bull shit radar goes off.

Have you seen this guy?
Black communities need several of him in each one.

Why is the East Asian stereotype of Robots and Doctors, and sick bastards that hurt animals? I think it's because of what people see.

The media is helping blacks not be painted with the "thug" brush, by reporting gang crimes without color - but I think this is undermining their own incentives - because there's many people now on chat forums calling out the two polar opposite ways crime gets committed. "White gang attacks black kids.", versus "Gang of youths attack boy." It's making neutral people hostile and increasing the number of racists.
