TIL The Matrix and Terminator movies are based off a book called "The Third Eye" written by Sophia Stewart in 1981. by huuvpin todayilearned

[–]RudyardCrippling 0 points1 point ago

That second part is why I think she's crazy. Nytimes is owned by the NYTimes company, LA Times is owned by the Tribune Company, Newsweek is self-owned. CNN is indeed a time warner company, but that's not really news, none of the others are really even relevant news outlets (Dreamworks? Really?).

Taking a plausible medium-sized conspiracy and turning it into a farfetched, giant conspiracy is one of those big red flags that erases your credibility to me.

"The reason you have not seen any of this in the media is because Warner Brothers parent company is AOL-Time Warner…. this GIANT owns 95 percent of the media… let me give you a clue as to what they own in the media business… New York Times papers/magazines, LA Times papers/magazines, People Magazine, CNN news, Extra, Celebrity Justice, Entertainment Tonight, HBO, New Line Cinema, DreamWorks, Newsweek, Village Roadshow and many, many more! They are not going to report on themselves. They have been suppressing my case for years." -Crazy Lady Who Is Lying

Yeah, all you mouthbreathing shitfuckers don't know dick about ass and you think you're so COOL with your COMPUTERS and your INTERNET SITES for ENTERTAINMENT. But you wanna stop being such a skunkraped piece of shit? You come by old Robot Vaginar's house to get a real lesson on evolution, you mouthbreathing fucking onanists. The president's a duck, FUCK YOU!

By the way, robot vaginar, mutations are by their very definition random*, as the occur as an actual change within the cell. Epigenetics is heritable traits that don't involve an underlying genetic change. But you knew that, because you're so fucking cool, and so fucking smart.

*The mechanisms of evolution—like natural selection and genetic drift—work with the random variation generated by mutation. http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evosite/evo101/IIIC1aRandom.shtml (That's an evolution 101 site)

Well played. I was referring to the murder case, but have yourself an upvote for thoroughness.

[–]RudyardCrippling 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, and I'm sure the fact that nobody down the line reacted at all had anything to do with the fact that that dude was totally an actor creating fictional entertainment for you to later get your panties in a twist about.

I love the sister thread to this where the guy's freaking out to what is obviously a fake video. You don't fire a twelve gauge from the hip without it trying like to hell to escape your hands, nobody else on the range reacts. Funny sketch, terrible gun safety, totally not real.

University of Colorado Engineering students converted this Triumph 955i into a Snow-machine. by DreamSpirit3in motorcycles

[–]RudyardCrippling 0 points1 point ago

That's $2500 as the cost to convert, on top of a $3-5k bike. I'm not trying to be groucho pissdick, but if you're a college kid with $5k to spend on a toy, I'm definitely in the "cool story bro" camp.

[–]RudyardCrippling 0 points1 point ago

My dad taught me about gun safety by putting a watermellon on a stump and blasting it with a 20 gauge from about 10 feet away. He said "don't let this be somebody's head." Shit exploded.

I remember once I was at my local gun store in VT picking up shells, and some guy was buying a glock in a hard case, and he asked the guy at the counter "do i need to sign anything or anything?" and the guy laughed and said "nope." VT still has a strong culture where you're raised with a very traditional/respectful/agrarian perspective on guns, I'd bet the other states are the same.
