"Hive mind" has powerful connotations. When accused that one's thoughts are not unique but are instead the result of an exaggerated bandwagon effect can be hurtful and disrespectful. However, I feel that the reddit community is strong enough not to have their feelings hurt and to review the accusation accordingly.
