How rare are Crystal-Z discs? by gorgonzolaBeastin discgolf

[–]Royalhghnss 1 point2 points ago

You can buy them from dynamic discs.

Just want to brag. Yesterday I threw a drive nearly 600'. Damn it feels good when everything goes perfectly like that. by spoonrakerin discgolf

[–]Royalhghnss 0 points1 point ago

My longest throws ever were (~600ft) exactly the same. Slight downhill and hyzerflipping my champ sidewinder.

Looking for a good beginner to intermediate courses in the Portland, OR area by ErgoProxyPylonin discgolf

Greenway park in Beaverton is a nice intermediate/beginner (8 or 9) hole course. It's a really nicely kept park too.

Might as well man. If anything you'll get to play with some even better players. Congrats on the win dude.

Yeah I know, I was being overly simple, but honestly the hornet flies a lot like the wasp. Never thrown a zone though.

First Disc Golf Bag by sneakylfcin discgolf

I had a fade gear crunch box which worked great for the 3 years or so I used it. Never had either of those bags though.

If the wasp is too understable for you a buzzz is going to be even worse. A buzzz is just a wasp with the bead removed (making it more understable).

Get a Drone, it's the next step up from a wasp.

Does anyone else only use ONE disc while playing? by jamesreed666in discgolf

[–]Royalhghnss 1 point2 points ago

If it came down to just personal preference I bet at at least one pro would putt with a driver. The fact that none do tells me it doesn't. But knock yourself out dude I honestly give 0 fucks what you do, but if you want to get better, start using a putter to putt. It might take a bit, but you'll be better for it in the long run.

This is coming from a guy who used 1 disc for 6 years, I too thought putters were silly, but once I stuck to them for a bit my putting got a lot better.

practice with them, you'll get better. No pro's use a driver to putt, if it was better to putt with a driver I'd imagine some of them would do it...

do you have a putter?

[–]Royalhghnss 1 point2 points ago

For the fist couple years I played I only used 1 disc. One time I went to the local doubles tourney, and I could tell my partner was a little concerned. We then proceeded to tear it up, and I hit a 25 footer (with my champ sidewinder) to win it by a stroke.

But yeah, you should get more discs. At least a putter, it helps a lot.

Sometimes you gotta throw your whole bag. by WhatWhatInThePuttin discgolf

What's even more funny is the fact that it says "Throw your bag" on the wood right in front of the teepad.

Get your weight forward. When you release your back foot should come off the ground and rotate in front of you.

Brand new disc lost 6 hours after purchase. Most expensive rental ever. Any other horror stories? by Blunt___Smokingsin discgolf

[–]Royalhghnss 8 points9 points ago

As much as it sucks to lose a disc, at least it wasn't a perfectly beatin in disc you've thrown a million times and know exactly how it'll fly.
