Any stories about meeting an NBA player? I have one. by nba4722in nba

[–]RewindYourMind 1 point2 points ago

I met Bill Wennington at a K-Mart back in the 90s, when the Bulls were in dynasty mode. He was just lounging around in whatever crappy food venue was near the entrance.

Walked into K-Mart to get socks, walked out with socks and the autograph of a three-time NBA champ that 95% of people probably haven't heard of.

Wade's flagrant on Collison by LILbtheBasedgodin nba

I can respect Lebron for his talent and I actually like Chris Bosh as a person and player, but I cannot stand Wade anymore. The endless flopping, bitching to the refs, and general childish attitude have made me lose ALL respect for him.

I realized a few days ago that he's the SOLE reason I hate the Heat now.

ESPN NBA - Derrick Rose faces rehab of 8-12 months, could return around February 1st.. :( by Dispersionsin chicagobulls

Luckily, Rose has the work ethic and drive to come back and be better than he was when he got injured. He may not be the same type of player and he might have to adjust his game, but he WILL be just as dominant.

Or so I'll keep telling myself.

As Jeff Mangurten (Bulls radio guy) just tweeted: If Dwyane Wade was t'd up every time for what Taj just did, he would never make it to the 6 minute mark of the first quarter.

Not an excuse for us not to win, but still a very valid point.

See you all in Game 6. Huge, heartfelt win from our team.

GO BULLS!

Oh god, please don't. I'm still having flashbacks to that photoshopped pic of Simba and DRose.

I think Deng shot that one from his homeland.

If I can fault Thibs for one thing this series, it's keeping Brewer on the bench as much as he has. He truly makes some HUGE plays on the defensive end.

I think I'm having mini heart attacks whenever a Bulls player is down for more than two seconds.

Taj, you are a fucking beast and I love you.

Taj Gibson just went down with an ankle injury. Reports are saying he might return, but there's no denying that these injuries are affecting the Bulls mentally.

The Bulls have lost their three biggest 'heart' guys to injuries in the course of five games. That would have utterly destroyed most teams.

The sheer fact that we're hanging in there and fighting makes me proud to call myself a Bulls fan, no matter the outcome of this game and series.

Are you fucking serious???? Another injury???

Come on. This isn't fair anymore.

The sad truth. by aTROLLwithSWAGin nba

[–]RewindYourMind 3 points4 points ago

There's no way you can say the Bulls got spanked in the ECF last year. Those games were all nail-biters and decided by an average of 9 points, with the exception of Game 1, where the Bulls blew out the Heat by 21 points.

I wouldn't say it would've been a cakewalk, but a healthy Bulls squad had the best chance of beating the Heat in the East this year.

The one that got away... Now that the NFL Draft is over, who would you have really liked to see on your team? by MaxStraussin nfl

Having watched Clay Matthews and Nick Perry closely during their careers at USC, I'm not looking forward to seeing them BOTH line up against the Bears o-line. Perry was definitely underrated.

I feel so bad for Rose. He's such a competitor and not being able to play is going to kill him.

I'm clinging to the hope that this injury will inspire a Remember The Titans-esque rally from the rest of the Bulls, propelling us into deep into the playoffs.

Fuck. Time to numb the pain with alcohol.

It sounds like they put extra mics on the court for playoffs. One big Boozer "AND 1!!" might just kill my speakers.

Brad Miller, Facing Retirement, Hits One Final Three, Then Cries by diggroin nba

I was at that game years ago. Even from the upper level, I could tell that Miller's career could've ended if Shaq connected with that sledgehammer.

I swear the United Center went silent as he wound up for that punch.

[–]RewindYourMind 4 points5 points ago

Okay, refs. This is bullshit. You can't eject Jones on a weak flagrant 2 and then give Wade a flagrant 1 for a BLATANT shoulder check.

There's got to be some consistency with the calls here.

You aim lower when boxing out. He got Noah in the neck/chin area. Definite cheap shot.

LeBron is locked in tonight. He shot that three pointer after the whistle from damn near half-court, fading away.
