It's a shame people didn't get the joke and downvoted you. I guess you should have dropped the idiot part, it makes the post looks serious.

Austrian brothel opens its doors to the homeless as temperatures plummet. by marcussantiagoin worldnews

Does it really appear hard to speak to you? Every letter or pair of letters have a well defined pronounciation, it's pretty straightforward. Native english speakers don't realize it but english extremely difficult to speak in comparison, as it combines an arbitrary transcription of phonemes with an incorrect use of the latin alphabet (known as the great vowel shift).

I have edited the retarded part right after posting, although I really think it. You have stated that women can't have sexual thoughts about men, this is the part that doesn't make sense.

I'm a whore. by SarBeatin fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

[–]RaptorJizzus 4 points5 points ago*

Because actually in Islam women are not prohibited from looking at men, only men prohibited from looking at women, there's nothing sexual about women looking at men.

Please take a while and think about how wrong this is. Just ask a few girls around you.

Your culture's casually dressed is different than mine

Bad wording here, I was referring to the situation. Casual = walking on the street, as opposed to seeking attention in a nightclub.

2nd. Islam asks for men to cover their eyes and for women to cover their head, it wouldn't be fair to ask a gender for something and not ask the same from the other.

Men are asked not to stare at women, women are asked not to stare at men. What's unfair about it?

3rd. they won't rape you but they will stare at you, since you show more skin than the other girls, sorry that's the truth, also staring at women doesn't have anything to do with sex depriving, people stare at beautiful women everywhere, even after having sex for a whole day.

False. I don't stare at casually dressed women in public, neither do other normally educated Europeans. We call this "respect". The muslim men's inability to restrain themselves from ostentatiously staring at strangers is one of the main reasons immigrants from north Africa are held in low regard by autochthonous Europeans.

Polish prosecutor 'shoots self after news conference' defending a military investigation into the air crash that killed the Polish president in 2010. by celticninjain worldnews

[–]RaptorJizzus 4 points5 points ago*

This is what I read in various polish newspapers. The investigation into the crash is actually over and the results are accepted by the population, except the religious far right. The pilot's errors are obvious, he ignored the GPWS despite having zero visibility, and simply flew into the trees 100 meters away from the landing strip (he was on the right path but too low). The airfield did not have the technology to secure a landing in this conditions, but the pilot ignored the russians' recommendation (informal order actually) to land elsewhere. It also appeared during the investigation that the commander of the air force was in the cockpit and gave the order to land at all cost, so that he is actually responsible for this collective suicide.

The motivations behind this madness are political, the president (far right) would have been humiliated if his delegation failed to attend an event he had organised in response to an event organized and attended by the prime minister (center).

The gunshots are apparently due to the dead secret service agents' ammo exploding in the heat of the burning plane.

Seriously? by Miorain atheism

[–]RaptorJizzus 4 points5 points ago*

I think I have used the word exposed in a somewhat inaccurate way. What I mean is that many children are never told that religion is something one should actually believe in. Catholicism has folklore status in France. And the idea that christianity may actually be worth following is not one you can get spontaneously, i.e. without being lured into it by your educators. So the children that grow up in secular families become atheists "by the force of things" as we say in France, it makes no sense to praise them for being atheists or expect them to have outstanding critical skills on the base of their atheism. In fact, homeopathy is ridiculously popular in France.

In America, why isn't tax added to the display price? Is adding tax yourself as big a hassle as it seems? by slipslopslapin AskReddit

[–]RaptorJizzus 1 point2 points ago*

I believe you that one can get used to this, I am just pointing out that not having to care about value added tax (or sales tax) is more convenient than having to get used to having to care about it.

Anyway out of all the things that don't make sense in the US, this is the least remarkable one.

In America, why isn't tax added to the display price? Is adding tax yourself as big a hassle as it seems? by slipslopslapin AskReddit

[–]RaptorJizzus 3 points4 points ago*

It still sucks if the tax rate varies from place to place. At the moment I leave on near the point where the borders of France, Switzerland and Germany meet. The respective tax rates are (in decreasing order for different categories of goods and services) 19.6%/7%/5.5% ; 8.5%/3.8%/2.5% ; 19%/7%/0%. It would suck if I were required to keep track of all this when I plan my monthly expenses within my personal budget. Seeing the real price makes fiscally responsible shopping way more convenient.

Of course it is safe to assume 20% for France and Germany, 8.5% for Switzerland, but the principle is still inconvenient in my opinion.

Edit : most importantly, if I have 5 CHF in my pocket, I can buy stuff with an advertised cost of 5 CHF or less. Assuming the price is sans tax, you have to compute 5/1.085=4.61 to get a high bound on what you can buy. Can't do this in your head.

[–]RaptorJizzus 3 points4 points ago

It's common to find families that have no single religious member in France and Belgium (I used to live in both countries). You will meet such families in Switzerland and Germany too, but less often. I never lived in the north so I don't want to claim anything about Scandinavia. The kids will of course become aware of Catholicism at some point in there lives, but in the same way as you are aware of Hinduism, greek and roman polytheism, etc.

Seriously? by Miorain atheism

[–]RaptorJizzus 8 points9 points ago

Especially outside of the US. In other western countries, many people grow up without being exposed to religion, so being an atheist does not imply anything about your ability to think rationally.

[–]RaptorJizzus -8 points-7 points ago

It just feels like a scam to us because we have laws specifically forbidding this, and more generally the display of false prices (false = not what actually pay).

Polish prosecutor 'shoots self after news conference' defending a military investigation into the air crash that killed the Polish president in 2010. by celticninjain worldnews

[–]RaptorJizzus 6 points7 points ago*

He was merely investigating a leak of classified information related to the investigation into the air crash. His suicide is due to general tensions between the military and the civil prosecution (the background being complicated relations between the two offices and the laws regulating them).
