I'm glad someone said it. There is ALWAYS work to do. Take the initiative and find it. I worked at a job for six month as a UNIX sysadmin where there was "nothing to do". Six months wasted. Now not completely wasted since I can look back on it now and realize my mistakes, but six months is still a long time to spend figuring out something so simple. Now, that isn't to say NO REDDIT at work. I'm at work right now. But stop spending all day on Reddit. Learn something new. Your bosses will take notice, even the dumb ones.

How does this differ from the new "Star Trek" movie? The new movie took the characters we know and love and changed their ENTIRE future thus negating/changing the entirety of Star Trek canon. It looks like Lucas just want's to do the same thing with Star Wars.

Happened to me once with "Sparkling Cider". The cashier asked for my ID and I, confused, took the bottle, rotated it and pointed at the line that read "Non-alcoholic" and asked "Are you sure? It's non-alcoholic". Luckily this woman had more common sense than the cashier in your story as I was quickly on my way.

I do not agree with this statement. I'd like to think that people are aware and keep up with politics but that fact of the matter is, they don't. Many of the "Virtually everybody" group will vote based on a single issue and a single issue alone. Why? It's easy. A single choice, yes or no. Is the candidate they've chosen corrupt? They sure hope not. Oh... they're all corrupt? (Even if this isn't true, can the media spin it too look like they are all corrupt?) In that case I'll throw all forms of corruption out the window. Back to my single issue. Time to vote.

Interesting. I tried to stay away from chain restaurants when looking up pizza size information simply because I figured chains would have the same sizes globally. However it is interesting to see Ireland has the same sizes as the US. Of course even in the US the "standard" size is far from standard. Also, while I've got your attention, is it weird to have your pizza sizes measured in inches? I always figured it would be measured in centimeters and then require some conversion.

Interestedly enough, Intelligent Systems, the game developer for both Advance Wars and Fire Emblem are also responsible for the Paper Mario series of games. Given their close proximity it is entirely possible a Tactics style Mario game is/was already in development. At the very least I'd have to imagine the idea was thrown onto the drawing board at least once.

I'm not European so someone may need to come along and correct me but it looks like a 12" pizza would be considered "medium" in the US, and "large" in the UK. It also looks like a 10" pizza is considered a "small" in the US, whereas it is considered a "medium" in the UK.

OK, I watched them all for you. If you're lazy/want to save time, here are the ones you'll want to see (funny/adorable/clever) and a brief description/spoilers:

Audi -- "Vampire Party", a bunch of vampires die from bright headlights.

Hulu -- Will Arnett, Arrested Development reference (but not really that funny).

Volkswagen -- "The Bark Side", adorable dogs (some dressed as Star Wars characters) bark the Imperial March.

Toyota -- "It's Reinvented", a bunch of terrible/boring things are reinvented into awesome things.

First Bank -- TDB Boulder, man tells audience to go to the bathroom, it's OK, you won't miss anything.

Hyundai -- "Think Fast", man performs CPR (of sorts) by accelerating/breaking car.

Downey -- "Stinky", parody of classic "Mean Joe Greene" commercial. Not terribly funny, but some might appreciate it.

Doritos -- "Birds of Prey", man thinks he is a bird.

Doritos -- "Man's Best Friend", dog buys off man after killing cat.

Doritos -- "Sling Baby", adorable baby and grandma get even with asshole kid.

Budweiser -- "Flash Fans", heart warming, hundreds of fake fans show up to a rec hockey league game to cheer on the two teams.
