I'm in the market for some art, specifically art that I can look at and then buy. I recently went to Spoke Art and saw Tim Doyle's Unreal Estate, which was pretty neat and in the looked great online, but then was a bit underwhelming in person so I opted not to buy a copy.

So, San Francisco, where is your art? How do I find you?

I'm glad someone said it. There is ALWAYS work to do. Take the initiative and find it. I worked at a job for six month as a UNIX sysadmin where there was "nothing to do". Six months wasted. Now not completely wasted since I can look back on it now and realize my mistakes, but six months is still a long time to spend figuring out something so simple. Now, that isn't to say NO REDDIT at work. I'm at work right now. But stop spending all day on Reddit. Learn something new. Your bosses will take notice, even the dumb ones.

How does this differ from the new "Star Trek" movie? The new movie took the characters we know and love and changed their ENTIRE future thus negating/changing the entirety of Star Trek canon. It looks like Lucas just want's to do the same thing with Star Wars.

Happened to me once with "Sparkling Cider". The cashier asked for my ID and I, confused, took the bottle, rotated it and pointed at the line that read "Non-alcoholic" and asked "Are you sure? It's non-alcoholic". Luckily this woman had more common sense than the cashier in your story as I was quickly on my way.

Interesting. I tried to stay away from chain restaurants when looking up pizza size information simply because I figured chains would have the same sizes globally. However it is interesting to see Ireland has the same sizes as the US. Of course even in the US the "standard" size is far from standard. Also, while I've got your attention, is it weird to have your pizza sizes measured in inches? I always figured it would be measured in centimeters and then require some conversion.

Interestedly enough, Intelligent Systems, the game developer for both Advance Wars and Fire Emblem are also responsible for the Paper Mario series of games. Given their close proximity it is entirely possible a Tactics style Mario game is/was already in development. At the very least I'd have to imagine the idea was thrown onto the drawing board at least once.

I'm not European so someone may need to come along and correct me but it looks like a 12" pizza would be considered "medium" in the US, and "large" in the UK. It also looks like a 10" pizza is considered a "small" in the US, whereas it is considered a "medium" in the UK.
