I have a preference for one of those 3000+ mah batteries, but regardless, this one doesn't seem to mention NFC... i was under the impression that the NFC chips are in the batteries?

i can say with near-absolute certainty that the popular vote is inaccurate in every state, and that it's likely he's won the popular vote in a majority of states.

hahahahaha, holy shit, you're batshit crazy/retarded. You're the perfect caricature of your average libertarian.

Singapore is 'economically free'?

It's a neo-mercantilist entropot export oriented economy

The government owns all the land and 80% of it's citizens live in public housing

They have universal healthcare

A significant percentage of the GDP is owned by the government via their sovereign wealth fund. Their airlines are completely socialized.

Singapore is a fine example of state capitalism that i advocate, it's hardly the libertarian paradise that you think it is.

With news of SpaceX launching their first commercial rocket, is anybody else excited about the private sector reaching space? by joe39275in Libertarian

[–]Phokus 3 points4 points ago

If the private sector can't see any benefit to a new market, how can the government magically know?

You do realize that government wanting to get into space originally had nothing to do with profitability, but it was still a very important milestone in humanity right? You libertarians are so damn short sighted.

Why JP Morgan’s CIO found it so easy to make money by touringcavin Economics

[–]Phokus 0 points1 point ago

Where did i say we should be giving banks bailouts? How about PREVENTING those systemic risks that lead to one?

Giving banks bailouts creates a moral hazard. If banks KNOW that if they fuck up they are going down, they will be less likely to allow 1 person to fuck up.

That's not true at all. There are BIG incentives at work for banks to take risky positions, even at risk of the bank. Joseph Cassano took insane risks, brought down AIG, but he made $300 million dollars. Sure his name is mud, but he's insanely wealthy and never has to work another day in his life, multiple times over. If you can make that much money in such a short period of time, who the hell cares if the bank crashes and burns, bailout or not.

Investment banking risk and personal risk has become completely decoupled. The only time officers were more prudent when investment banks were run as partnerships and their OWN equity was at risk. But now these investment banks are run as publicly traded companies, and it's the investor's money at risk. Why NOT take that risk? It's not your own money you're losing.

The libertarians are NOT right. The best thing is to prevent the risk that leads to collapses in the first place and bailouts after.

The "London Whale" was reportedly making 30 million a year for JP Morgan. I highly doubt his lifestyle will be affected much if he gets the boot.

[–]Phokus -6 points-5 points ago

In before imbecile libertarians claim that it doesn't matter because they didn't need a bailout, they still made a profit for the quarter, etc. etc. etc.

Such shortsighted thinking, they need to nip this in the butt before such systemic risks spread like wildfire again and they bring the world economy to it's knees again.

Edit: Risk Officers at these banks are fucking Eunuchs.
