At the time, the only ones who jumped on it were my 5 or so other male friends and myself. We never saw the point of taking off shoes to jump, and we all skated, so we were all really picky about getting our shoes dirty anyways. You could also just jump right off the trampoline when you were done, avoiding the bar completely (I'm really that terrified of getting shocked).

you can put lighter gauge strings on your guitar. other than that, just go at your own pace. if it starts to hurt, wrap up the day with a satisfying riff and pick up where you left off the next day.

mine does the same thing and it's a solid state. i did some digging around online a while ago and only saw a few explanations. one- it might be a bad capacitor and two- i saw someone mention something about a bad AC Rectifier(?). anyway, hope this helps a little
