I offered to buy a homeless man anything he wanted.... this is what he got... by Brumehin pics

[–]MuggyFuzzball 1 point2 points ago

Same! I've always wondered if I was the only one, and nobody ever believes me! I can eat icecream and cold dairy foods as fast as I want and as long as I want without any effect. Feels good man.

I'm not even entirely sure what a brainfreeze is, but I can say without a doubt I've never felt the intense pain that I've heard so many describe.

context?

TIL that a convicted murderer broke out of prison 3 times using a helicopter. In 2001, the convict convinced friends to hijack a helicopter. 2 yrs later he busted 3 friends out using another helicopter and after being recaptured, another chopper was used to escape...and it worked... again. by bukanglabalabain todayilearned

Video of helicopter escape: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ho-xRt3x2WA

I recall there being a longer version of this floating around with security footage of the helicopter landing on the roof of a prison building. You could hear gunshots in the background but couldn't really see any of the people running about.

What small seemingly insignificant thing have you lost that just crushed your world? by cameltoadin AskReddit

[–]MuggyFuzzball 1 point2 points ago

One of the most devastating blows to my childhood was having my father find my G.I. Joe's scattered about, and him throwing them away because he thought I didn't play with them anymore. I loved those toys so much, losing them may have even changed my life in some aspect.

I actually credit that experience for preventing me from becoming too attached to my possessions, including pieces of artwork that I spent many many hours on, and being able to let go of relationships when I knew they weren't working out. Because of this, I am also very charitable, and money has no real value to me outside of being forced to buy essentials. If you give me money as a gift, you can bet it will all end up in someone elses pocket by the end of the day.

I have a friend who does something similar to this, only, he literally buys, and installs every new game that comes out that he finds interesting, and absolutely never plays them. He has yet to touch Skyrim, but he spent full price on the game and it is already prepped and ready to go on his machine. He has done the same with Mass Effect 2 & 3, Duke Nukem Forever, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Starcraft 2, and a number of other games. He did however play "Dear Ester" for a total of 4 minutes before logging out and never touching it again.

In his defense, he has a very important programming job for a major technology company, and is probably afraid of becoming addicted to a game and having it affect his work.

When I was a kid, I witnessed a woman burn herself to death. What is the most shocking/terrifying/traumatic thing you experienced? by laksaloverin AskReddit

[–]MuggyFuzzball 1 point2 points ago

I didn't see it myself, but my brother watched a car full of people get hit by a train. Everyone died. Not sure why, but it seems to me that his experience has affected me more than him, being forced to wonder what those people were thinking, and how they didn't see the train coming while the gates were down and the railroad lights were flashing.

In a seperate incident, I witnessed a student from my class get hit by a car from about 100 m away. She flew about 15 meters, and ended up with brain damage. I've always knew that student, who happens to be female, to be kind of a bitch. She was popular in school, so you get the idea. When she returned to school a few months later, she was a completely different person. She stopped hanging out with preppy kids, and found some legitimate friends. Even today, I find it to be extremely bewildering. Did she choose to change her personality, or was it a result of the accident?

This is one of those situations where the cop's presence does more harm than good. He's potentially in the position to injure one of those horses or the drivers, and he is blocking traffic moreso than the horses are.

Substituting in the 1st grade. This is their idea of playtime... How times have changed by Henco91in pics

[–]MuggyFuzzball 0 points1 point ago

They have play-time in the first grade?!?! When I was in 1st grade, teachers tossed desks at students and forced us to learn in rooms full of toys that we weren't allowed to play with, because they were meant for the after-school kids club.

[–]MuggyFuzzball 1 point2 points ago

What school has this ability blocked? I've never heard of any IT preventing installs at a school, but I guess you are just satan. Screw you for not giving children the same opportunities that you had in school!

Should have just left that one undeleted, since you know, you aren't being paid to ruin the lives and dreams of kids. That wouldn't have taken any harddrive space.

It has been incredible to see the kind of talent that came from the Planetside community. You're a popular figure on the internet, another guy became a successful musician, and a couple famous people have been known to have spent time playing it. Unfortunately, I don't remember names.
