I came from a very strict Buddhist background and was raised all my life that way. When I was around 12, I began what you may call, looking for the answers to life and I delved deep into Buddhism trying to find it. I even spent a week in a monastery as a sort of 'rites of passage' thing but all my work was for naught and I was frustrated that I couldn't find what I was looking for.

My best friend soon invited me to his youth group and gave me a bible, telling me to read from Matthew onwards to find out more about Jesus. I can't exactly describe what happened, but I can say that it wasn't an instant spiritual kind of experience, but the more I read about God and the more I got to know about Jesus, the more I was drawn towards the gospel.

It's been many years since then and I've never ever felt so fulfilled and complete in my life. The point where I got to know God personally almost felt like a homecoming of sorts and it is hard to explain it but I finally felt like I found everything I was looking for in Jesus.

As for experiences? There are many, but I look back at my life and who I am now and even though I'm nowhere near perfect, God has had an incredible effect on who I am and the love I bear towards my fellow man. I find myself not caring about my own well-being more and putting others and God ahead of me.

I've also met so many amazing, inspirational people in my journey and they have all added unto my life incredibly.
