Good luck today! I've been in your shoes before - I have had two of those awful colposcopies and ended up having the laser ablation to remove some abnormal cells. Don't be nervous - catching these things early means they won't get out of hand. You'll be in my thoughts! =)

I've always loved the Editor pants from Express - the fit is flattering and the material is lightweight. They tend to fit nicely at the waist and through the hip, but the fall away from there. For starters - what type of pants are you wearing (fit) and what material are they made of?

The shirt in the last pic is the most flattering on you - it seems a bit more fitted than the others. I agree, for new years the all black could be pretty classy. Maybe some sparkly earrings or some fun accessories. It is a new years party after all!

I found an awesome armoire sort of thing at HomeGoods (if you don't have a stand alone HomeGoods, try TJ Maxx).. kinda looks like this. Mine is a fun blue color, and not traditional at all. It's a bit bigger than what I need, but the extra drawers are good for clutches, scarves, sunglasses, etc. If you have the room, I think a cute armoire is the way to go!

Thanks for the advice! Definitely need to try some of those places. Know of any ways to meet people? That is the hard part for us. We can go out and eat together, but people may find us strange if we walk up to their table and ask if we can be friends!

Definitely not in to the college crowd. We enjoy good beer, good food, good music - but in a more laid back atmosphere. We also enjoy hiking, camping, biking, etc - anything outdoorsy. And who says you aren't cool?!?
