TROPHY CASE

How much anime is there? by BrickSaladin japaneseanimation

[–]Minimalist 0 points1 point ago

In response to the one of the closing observations that the author made: I doubt he made the distinction between single episode shows and series-specific OVAs. I'm sure that OVA count artifically inflated the episode count distrubtion.

I am well aware of your good intention, but citing that snopes quote is close to being an ad hominem if I've ever seen one.

I'm getting my finances under control TODAY. Which tool is better, Quicken, or Mint? by maxgoldbergonlinein personalfinance

[–]Minimalist 0 points1 point ago

He is going off the assumption that if Mint is comprimised, (somehow) a malicious party could gain access to your passwords and use that to access your accounts and move money out of them.

Is there any way to run Clannad on a mac? by catnipassianin visualnovels

Use wineskin. I can create a wrapper for you if you don't mind waiting a few weeks.

For those of you who wish to carry your 3DS with some class, this case has got it! by emjae007in 3DS

I have the $15 sleeve w/ pocket, and I find the quality well worth it the price. It won't scratch the finish and is slim enough to not add bulk at all to the unit. Of course, it doesn't add shock protection in the slightest, but isn't that what a bag/pocket is for? Both bulky cases seem rather unnecessairy in my opinion.

What finance software do you use on your Mac? by onefingersnapin apple

GnuCash is cross platform, open source, recognized by the Minnesota State Bar Association (FWIW), and is part of the GNU Project if you like Freedom.

nyaatorrents.info, a site I've never used, suddenly has a Neighborhood on my Time Capsule. I can't delete or modify it. What the heck is going on here? by ramblin415in trackers

[–]Minimalist 0 points1 point ago

This is accurate. There is nothing on your time capsule, the time capsule is simply a networked storage volume broadcasting via Bonjour on your network. Note that you are looking at shared devices, not your time capsule.

Can someone recommend a Mac IRC client? by Yellow_Curryin irc

Textual is open source fork of limechat, meaning that you can compile it (freely) on your own.

I feel there's a basic bug in how Exposé works across multiple monitors. Or am I missing something? by obvioustrollin apple

[–]Minimalist 9 points10 points ago*

Editorialization warning:

Unfourtinately not. Dual screen computing has never been supported very well on OS X and the fundimental flaws of full-screen in Lion (rendring your second dispay useless even up until 10.7.3) just goes to show how little apple cares about dual screen users.

Edit: This may have been more appropriate for /r/applehelp.

For dead links, simply append the link title to 'toms-mc.no-ip.org/bookz/', so for example this dead link becomes this live link

LI5: How do you know that you aren't dreaming and everything you see isn't in your dream? You don't! When you're asleep, you're still dreaming about dreaming! Everything around you is part of your dream and you are the only thing that is real in this world.

Oh yes, it's perfect for Prime Hunters and Mario 64 (and basically any other game that uses touch screen input for movement/vision, though none other come to mind).

I have one

I was so fond of the one that came with my DS Phat that I went ahead and ordered one for my 3DS. You can find the thumb pad/wrist straps from Nintendo's Part Finder.

Note: Shipping will probably be more than the cost of the damn thing.
Note2: They really aren't that practical.
Note3: I just noticed the 'U.S. & Canadian Orders Only' disclaimer at the bottom of the page. Oh well. Best of luck for you~

Apparantly, there's a book in the works, though I'd love to see posters.
Edit: There are posters.
