1. I think everybody has the same potential to become successful. Of course life is unjust in some ways (some people are born blind for example) but the only way to make up for that injustice is to let everybody free and actualize their potential. Maybe Roark wouldn't have been an architect, if he was born in Africa, but Objectivism is a philosophy and thereby is for everybody. It shows that any man who thinks this way - goes by reason - will be happy and successful.

2. What you are describing - lobbying and corruption - can hardly be called capitalism. In a truly free society laws wouldn't be able to restrict people and threaten them.

3. Factories don't make it their goal to pollute the environment. They want to make money, duh. Why are all the companies going to the east (mainly China)? Because it is cheaper to produce there! Why? Because the western governments restrict the companies so badly. But that is not the point. If you look at the 1800s and the whole process of the industrialisation you can see that every first world country went through the process that the eastern contries are going through right now. Working conditions get better naturally as the standart of living increases, and pollution decreases.

What you are trying to get at is the principal that the initiation of force is evil. I totally agree. I just think that Capitalism is the only way to escape that violence. Government cant be the solution, because they use force themselves so it has to be something else. And that is just volontary cooperation. If you think about it, the world would be much better off if everybody would be peaceful.
