Diablo III Post Launch Update by B1ackMagixin Diablo

How's that? With a on-pc authenticator as compared to no authenticator, the hacker's problem moves from needing a simple username/password, to needing that plus access to your computer to view the authenticator.

Piracy: What influences your decision to pay for or pirate a game? by gabe2in truegaming

[–]Measure76 1 point2 points ago

If I don't know whether I will like a game, I'm more likely to pirate it. If I think I will like the game, I'm more likely to purchase it.

Overall though, I was much more likely to pirate games when I had a lower income. I'm making more money now and buying games more often than pirating.

I'm sure some might disagree, but I don't think there is anything wrong with pirating to play a game when you don't have a way to give the developer money in the first place.

I think I'm done with console gaming. Console gaming has been good to me, don't get me wrong. But I think I'll get a better ROI out of computer upgrades over console purchases at this point.

Cutting Military Funding Of NASCAR Teams Is Right Move by cthor515in NASCAR

[–]Measure76 0 points1 point ago

Does the military judge success based on the number of contacts generated, or the number of recruits generated?

Why should congress care how the military decides to spend their recruiting budget?

it's new to the people upvoting. I disagree

Care to elaborate on why you disagree that it is new to people upvoting?

Your link to the 'top' sort is kind of misleading.

Yeah, he's had some success lately, but in 11 months, he's posted as many as 40+ links per day, and only had 29 total go over 100 points, ever.

When you look at his ratio, you see that he is putting a ton of work into his reposting for just a few successes.

I don't know if sponsoring a NASCAR vehicle is a good recruiting tool or not, but it seems like the military should be the organization making that decision, not congress.

Does anyone feel that buying a "Collector's Edition" of a game truly enriches your experience? by Bioshockerin truegaming

Mostly I buy these for cubicle decorations. Stuff you just can't get any other way.

D3 was nice because the cubicle decoration is also a functioning 4GB memory stick with D2 and LOD installed.

Just a friendly reminder that more than 2 years after receiving death threats for featuring Muhammed in a bear costume, South Park STILL isn't streaming 3 episodes, including one from 2001. by TommyPainein southpark

[–]Measure76 4 points5 points ago

CC likely owns lots of southpark IP. Matt and Trey could leave, but they'd have to start over with a new show, as opposed to taking their show with them.

public games are always 1 or 2 players by areion_d3in Diablo

[–]Measure76 3 points4 points ago

i always like making my own games so i can start off where "I" left off

Well you see, if everyone does that, nobody will play together.

I'm kind of in the same mindset for my first playthrough, but after that I'll mostly just join whatever games are out there. I do open my games to the public, and sometimes they fill up, other times not.
