Thank you, I don't know why I buttoned both today. Excited mistake I guess. You have a good eye, I'm pretty skinny. 6'3" @ 160lbs. Hopefully I'll grow into it a bit more as I transition from a lazy college kid to a young professional with too much free time.

I will find a new pair of shoes!

Thank you! I'll be going shoe shopping this week then, they are definitely square toed. Luckily I picked up 5 ties with the suit, I'll play around with it and post more.

Similar experience with a Ferrari F430. The combination of our exhausts noise was nothing short of amazing. Then he went entered a corner at 100+ and that was the end of that.

Question about formula 1 internships and co-ops for college students. by calinduffin formula1

[–]Marcusm117 0 points1 point ago

110% yes! I started in Formula, three internships with Toyota NA, spent time with Tesla but then switched majors/industries. I have a few friends working for Honda's Indy Powertrain group. They are at every race supporting the engines.

I'm pretty sure Clemson has/had an SAE team.

College grads of Reddit, what was your college major and what are you doing (or trying to do) now? by UncleDrunklein AskReddit

Packaging. Working in Packaging Development. And no I don't work here.

Hamilton's fault!! Seriously though Karthikeyan should have let off a bit.

How do I properly tuck? by SeviManin motorcycles

[–]Marcusm117 0 points1 point ago

That is damn solid advice! I couldn't slide all the way back at the time as my windscreen was opaque. Double Bubble from Zero Gravity makes all the difference in the world!

I'm no pro so I'm open to critiques! I'm about 6'3" and I wasn't laying flat against the tank in the picture.

What's the most fun you've ever had when you were supposed to be working? by Whiskeybent341in AskReddit

While interning for a very large corporation, the benefits and freedom were fantastic. Also 400+ interns in one city.

  • Rented a convertible Mustang while in Chicago for the day visiting a supplier

  • Routinely had meetings to listen to music and work on our projects

  • Relax room with Guitar Hero, Rock Band, massage chairs

  • Would leave to go get ice cream to fight off the 2pm nap time feeling

Oh the corporate life is so hard.

Have you ever almost been killed? by jqrd4nin AskReddit

[–]Marcusm117 1 point2 points ago

It's part of the liability contract we sign. He was at fault so he gets to pay for it, they offer insurance so at most you can pay is $1000 but I didn't ask to see if he had purchased it.

One lucky Christmas my parents bought me an Introduction to Racing course at Skip Barber at Laguna Seca.

The course works by separating the students into a fast group and a slow group. I made it into the fast group along with another guy my age (19 at the time). We basically spend a few hours lapping the track behind the instructor, switching positions each lap. We follow very closely when possible....

I was third in line when the guy in front of me clipped a corner before the red/white curbs began, it must have been windy because the dirt that is normally there was blown away. Creating a 6in cement wall where the curb began.

This instantly ripped off his front left wheel, launching his car into the air end over end... about 15 feet in front of me. I drove under his car while it somersalted across the track. Drove. Under.

His car settled on the outside of a corner with the front half of the car gone, besides the cockpit frame. I immediately pulled over to make sure he was alive, helped him out and we sat and talked about how amazing the day was while we waited for the track tow truck to arrive. Yes, he did have to pay for the race car but his father drove a Lamborghini so I assume it wasn't a big deal.

TL;DR Drove under a flying race car.

What's the most ridiculous thing you've said to break up with someone? (Possible answers NSFW.) by mrhalfin AskReddit

[–]Marcusm117 2 points3 points ago

In response to OP, same thing happened to a close friend of mine. She was dating a neighborhood boy, he went off to Jesus camp for a few weeks, and came back to dump her because "Jesus doesn't want them together."

She was religious as well and destroyed by it :(

What's your "let's get the fuck out of here!" story? Possibly NSFW replies. by Coldhardtin AskReddit

I've had a few... I was 18yo interning for Toyota and decided to go car shopping with my badge still on. They tossed me the keys to a manual Celica GTS. Ended up being the first time I'd driven a manual on public roads, had an absolute blast and ended up teaching my buddy how to drive a manual too. The clutch was slipping when the car was returned >.<

From Michigan btw
