Ya, definitely going with the G850. Thanks for the help. Was able to talk a friend into giving my buddy his spare 1155 mobo, so we're set. The alternate was going to be a new mobo for an old ass 775 chip, which would have been around $60. Now it will be $88 for a much newer, faster chip and a modern motherboard. :)

To be fair, it is the Howard Stern Show. The bar isn't very high for rational thinking and quality broadcasting. Plus, New York people are stereotyped as being a bit over the top and all "hey, wadda ya think ya doing" and shit.

No image on the monitor at all. All cables in place. I completely removed every part and put it back together. Couldn't find anything wrong visually.
