They had a really good chance, after the whole remembrance day debacle, to regain a lot of public support and sympathy, and had a good chance to get their message across.
They completely squandered it, however.
My own experiences with their group have been with a bunch of them, during Hal-Con, yelling at people who were entering the trade center, demanding that they "Fuck Hal-Con come over here where you belong." and their "people's microphone" thing they did where they went into various Wal-Marts and yelled at people about how greedy corporations are and a bunch of buy local stuff, and refused to leave when Wal-Mart staff asked them to.
Oh, also when I made the comment on facebook about the Occupiers yelling at Hal-Con attendees, a couple of them who were my facebook friends got all butthurt at me, going on about how ignorant I am.

The Anonymous protestors who stood against Scientology in Halifax a few years ago made a point to be polite and get along well with people in the community and with the police. The Occupy protestors made a public nuisance of themselves.
