Just so you know if you use proper filters that come with tobacco for rolling, it filters a lot of the THC out. Use a rolled up cardboard roach instead :)

Seems like that's something they could already do though, like let you download the file for the OTA updates, which are ~60mb and just have iTunes apply them. Odd.

Huh well TIL I guess. Do you have any idea why iTunes downloads the same 600mb file for an upgrade then, assuming a much smaller one would work?

Sorry, but the impression I get from that is just telling the end user that if they hit the restore button they will get an iPhone with nothing left on it, and if they hit the update button they get their same files and setting but with a newer iOS version, nothing necessarily to do with the process in which it is updated.

Also the steps to updating and restoring are basically the same, except in updating the back up and restore process is automated. Also I have never noticed any significant time difference between updating and restoring.

Pretty sure an update just restores to the latest IPSW and then restores your settings and files from backup. There is no difference between restoring and then restoring your files from a backup, and updating.

When you update your phone everything on it is erased and then restored back onto it. Cydia apps and such will not get backed up or put back onto it.

No. If you're ever asked to pay for a jailbreak, and it isn't on any of the major jailbreaking websites, you can be pretty sure its not legit :)
